Chapter 5

Derek POV

While we were driving to jail, I began to get chills down my back. I realized that I left my jacket at Angelynn's house. I hope she's okay I thought. Her father was seriously pissed the moment he seen me. We arrived at jail and they put me in one of the cells. "You'll be here for the next 3 weeks. The Flowers have put up a restraining order against you. You are not to see Angelynn Flower during that time." One of the guards said. I nodded and laid down on one of the bunks. "Angelynn." Was what I whispered before I fell asleep.

Angelynn POV

The next morning, I woke up and dressed in all black like I was going to a funeral. I dressed in a black long sleeves dress, black pumps, a black ring, black bracelets, a black crescent shaped moon, black rose earings, and a black fedora. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. While I ate, my dad told me that I was grounded and I wasn't aloud to see Derek while he's in jail because of the restraining order. "Your behavior last night was unacceptable. Why would you stand in front of that Poison boy when I had my gun pointed at him?" Dad asked. I stood up and looked at my father with no emotions in my eyes. "Because an innocent flower does not harm anyone. You taught me that remember?" I told him. Before he could respond, I walked out the door and walked to school. I can hear Calee calling my name, but I ignored her. As soon as I got to school, I grabbed Derek's jacket and put it on over the dress. Since it was black, it went with my black mood. I grabbed my books and started to walk to class when I felt someone force me to turn around. I was then face to face with Calee. "You okay Angelynn?" She asked me. "Does it look like I'm okay? Derek is in jail and I can't go see him. And my father went with that stupid restraining order so now Derek can't see me. Why did this have to happen?" I asked. "I'm really sorry. If it makes you feel better, I can go see him after school everyday and let you know how he's doing." Calee offered. "You would really do that for me? I thought you didn't like him." I asked. "Well, I hate seeing you like this. Black doesn't suite you. It doesn't describe you at all." Calee said. I gave her a small smile. "Thank you." I said. She nods and says, "Now let's get you out of these depressing clothes. I happen to have some spare clothes you can wear." Calee said. We went into the girls restroom and she hands me some clothes. I changes out of my depressing clothes and into a blue with white polka dots dress, white heels, silver heart earings, silver bracelets, and a silver seashell necklace. I took off the fedora and had Calee French braid my hair. "There that suites you." Calee said. I laughed. I grabbed Derek's jacket and handed it to Calee. "When you see Derek, give this to him." I told her. What she doesn't know is that I stuck a note in the inside pocket of the jacket. "Ok I will." Calee said. Throughout the day, I couldn't stop thinking about Derek. By lunch time, everyone had heard about what happened last night. "Damn word spreads around fast." Calee said. "I know, its only lunch time, but I already had about 20 people come up to me to talk about it. Honestly, its really annoying." I told her. Just then, Tom sits down next to Calee. "I'm guessing everybody knows about what happened to Derek?" Tom asked. I nod and asked, "Let me guess: You miss him so your sitting with us because I'm his girlfriend." He nods as a group of cheerleaders walks up to me, including the queen of sluts, Ainsley Moore. "Hey Angelynn, words going around that your dating Derek Poison. Its too bad you had to put him behind bars. Some girlfriend you are." Ainsley said. "At least I don't use him only for sex." I said. Everyone around us kept going oooh. "How can someone as sexy as Derek go for someone as pathetic as you." Ainsley said. "How can someone as nice as Evan go for someone as slutty as you." I said. I looked at Ainsley and said, "Your just like Mondays. Nobody likes you." Everyone around us starts laughing. Ainsley glares at me. "Oh by the way Ainsley, close your legs, there not a door whore." Everyone was on the ground laughing by the time Ainsley walked away from us. "Damn Angelynn, you got her good." Tom said. "I'm just that awesome." I said. When the lunch bell rang, I was walking to my locker when I felt someone slam me into a locker. I looked and seen Michael Williams. "what the heck?" I asked. "Mom always told me to never hit girls, but I can make an exception." Michael said. He then started to punch me. "What the heck did I do to you?" I asked, trying to cover my face. "You were making fun of my girl." Michael said. By now, I was on the floor, tears streaming down my face. Right when he was about to land another punch, I seen someone coming towards us. It was Evan, Calee, Tom and the Principal. "Enough Michael." The Principal said. He grabs Michael and drags him to his office while Evan and the others helped me up. "You alright Angelynn?" Tom asked. "I think so. Damn that hurt." I said. "What was he so pissed off about?" Calee asked. "He said I insulted his girl." I told her. I looked at Evan and asked, "I thought she was dating you?" "She dumped me after we had sex." Evan said. I put my hand on his shoulder. "I am so sorry you had to go through that." I said. "No I'm sorry you had to go through this. I tried to stop her but Michael end up kicking my ass too." Evan said. We all laughed and headed off to our next classes. When the bell rang towards the end of the day, I reminded Calee to return Derek's jacket to him. "Don't worry Angelynn, I will. I'll let him know what happened." Calee said. While she walked to jail to visit Derek, I started walking home. As soon as I got inside, my mom calls me into the living room. I sit down across from her and dad and asked what was going on. "We found out what the baby was going to be." Dad said. With everything that's been happening, I completely forgot that mom was having a baby. "Really? So am I having a brother or a sister?" I asked. "A brother." Mom said. I smiled. "So what's his name gonna be?" I asked. "We decided to name him Joseph, Joey for short." Dad said. I smiled again. "Little Joey. I like it." I said. I stood up and walked to my room. "Angelynn." I heard my dad say. I turned around and he takes my hand. "We heard about what happened in school also." He added. I looked at the ground. "If you want, we can pull you out of school for a little while." Dad said. "No, I'm not going to hide from my problems." I told him. I walk up to my room and Thought about what I had to do once Derek is out of Jail. "Sorry mom and dad, but I won't be separated from the man I love."
