Innocent Flower Meets Deadly Poison

Chapter 4

Angelynn POV
The next morning I woke up still wearing Derek's jacket. Memories of last night began to comeback, including mine and Derek's kiss and my fight with my parents. I'm gonna have to tell him I thought. I sighed and got dress in a teal shirt, a white skirt, and white converses. I brushed my hair and pulled it back with a white flower decorated headband. After putting on a heart necklace, I walk downstairs and seen Calee and my parents in the kitchen. After we all ate, me and Calee were about to walk out when my dad said, "Angelynn you are forbidden to see Derek Poison after you return his jacket. I do not want to catch you anywhere near him." "Dad that's not fair." I said. "Life is never fair Angelynn. Were only doing this because we want to protect you. We can't let another Flower fall down due to a Poison. We love you Angelynn." Mom said. I rolled my eyes and walk out the door, Derek's jacket in my hand. Calee catches up with me and asks, "Are you okay?" "No this isn't fair. I love Derek and my parents are forcing me to stay away from him." I said. "They just want to protect you Angel. I mean, after what happened to your Aunt Rachel, they don't want to lose another Flower." Calee said. "Derek isn't like the other Poison's. He's different. Why is everyone judging him when they haven't gotten to know him?" I said. Calee shrugs as we walk to school. When we got there, I seen Derek walking towards us. "I'll let you two talk." Calee said, walking away. "Hey babe." Derek says, kissing my head. "Hey here's your jacket." I said, handing him the jacket. He puts it on and, seeing that I was upset, asks, "What's the matter?" "My parents forbade me to see you once I returned your jacket to you." I told him. "Its my own fault. I should have paid more attention to the time. I'm sorry Angelynn." Derek said. "Its not just about that." I told him. He looks down at me and asks, "Its because of our families history isn't it?" I nod, not bothering to look at him. He gently grabs my chin and turns me to face him. "Don't worry babe. Well figure this out together. I promise." He told me. "What can we do?" I asked. "At night I can sneak into your room and we can hangout as long as we don't get caught. Well avoid each other here but glance at each other every now and then. How's that?" Derek asked me. I nod as we walk inside. "See you soon Angelynn. I love you." Derek said. "I love you too Derek." We gave each other quick kisses as I went to look for Calee. During the day, me and Derek avoid each other so no one will suspect that we love each other. Sometimes I catch him looking at me, sometimes I look at him and he catches me. But then, during Biology, I was starring at Derek who was sitting in front of me and my Aunt Rachel's son, my cousin Josh catches me. "Do you like the Poison boy?" He asked me. I didn't say anything. "Don't you realize that his family killed my mom?" Josh asked. I nod. "I'm going to have to tell your dad." Josh said. I grab his arm. "Please don't Josh. I know that our families have never gotten along because of what happened to Aunt Rachel, but I've been avoiding Derek all day. Please don't tell dad Josh. Please." I begged. I can't let Josh tell dad that I was starring at Derek, otherwise, my dad will do whatever it takes to keep Derek away from me. Josh sighs. "Alright, but if I catch you looking at him, your dad will be the first to know." Josh said. I sighed of relief. "Thank you Josh." When the bell rang, I ran out the class room and into the girls room. "That was a close one. I'm gonna have to be more careful next time." I said. I walk out and headed off to my next class. When the bell rang for the end of the day, Calee and I headed home. "So how is Derek taking this?" Calee asked me. "He was just as heartbroken as I was." I told her. "During Science, Derek wouldn't stop whispering your name. He kept getting in trouble with the teacher." Calee told me. "Wow." I said. We got to my house and said goodbye. I walked inside and began to walk to my room. I heard my parents talking about me in there room so I stood outside there door and began to listen to their conversation. "I'm worried Daniel. I don't want Angelynn to get hurt or killed like her Aunt Rachel." I heard my mom say. "I know Heaven. We can't let anything happen to her. She thinks she's in love with him, but I know he's just using her." My dad said. That's not true I wanted to say. He loves me just as much as I love him. "Do you think we should transfer her to a different school?" Mom asked. "If Derek tries anything with her then we will when the time comes." Dad says. I walked away and went to my room. Later on that night after changing into my pajamas, I went to check to see if my parents were asleep. Seeing that they were passed out, I went back to my room, locked the door, and opened the window. Since a tree was growing near my room, Derek can just climb up the tree and into my room. Sure enough, Derek climbs up the tee and into my room. "Hey I missed you." Derek said. We laid down and he held me in his arms. "I missed you too." I told him. "I know the answer is kind of obvious, but will you be my secret girlfriend?" Derek asked me. I nod and we kiss. "I love you Angelynn." Derek said. "I love you too Derek." I told him. We talked a little more till we heard my dad going to the bathroom. "See you tomorrow." Derek said, kissing my head. When he was gone, I closed my window, climbed into bed and fell asleep. That's how it was for the next few days. We would avoid each other during school and he would sneak into my room at night so we can cuddle and hangout. When I told Calee what we were doing during lunch today, she began to freakout. "Don't you realize how much trouble your gonna be in when your father finds out." Calee said. "Don't worry, were gonna be careful." I told her. Just then, Tom passes by us, starring at Calee and smiling. She smiles back at him and I laugh. "Are you and Tom a thing now?" I asked. She looks at me, her face red. "No of course not!" She said. "Someone's in denial." I said. She rolls her eyes as I catch a quick glimpse of Derek, who seems to be talking to Tom. I can hear some of the things they were saying. "Are you and Calee together, you seemed to have gotten close to her?" Derek asked him. "Hell no! Why would I date her?" Tom asked, his face just as red as Calee's. I laughed as Calee asked if she can come to my house tonight and spend the night. "Sure my parents wouldn't mind at all." I said.

Calee POV

After lunch, me and Angelynn separate to our classes. I'm so glad I asked if I could spend the night, then that means Derek can't come tonight. I can try to get Angelynn to come to her senses and realize that she can't date him. "Sorry Angelynn." I said. "I can't let you go through with this."

Angelynn POV

Later on that day after Calee came to my house, we were in my room eating pizza when my parents told us that they were going to bed. "Try not to stay up too late Ok girls?" Dad said. "We won't. Goodnight dad." I said. After they fell asleep, I seen Derek climb into my room. Calee sees him and starts freaking out. "What the hell is he doing here?" Calee asked. "Don't worry. I asked him to come so you can try to get to know him. That way you won't judge him so much." I said. "Your insane! What if your parents walk in right now?" Calee asked, clearly upset. "Then I'll take all the blame." Derek said. "Everything will be okay Calee." I told her. Little did I know that disaster was about to strike. As if Calee knew this was going to happen, my parents walked in and, seeing Derek, freaked out. "What the hell are you doing here! Get the fuck away from my daughter!" My father yelled. I gasped. I've never heard him swear before. Mom screams and grabs me and Calee. "Stay here girls." Mom ordered. "Angelynn Marie Flower, you better have a good explanation for this." My dad said. "Its not her fault Mr. Flower. It was my idea to sneak in here so we can be together." Derek said. "You have no right to see my daughter. Stay away from her." My dad said. "Mr. Flower, I love your daughter more than anything. She's the best girl I have ever met. I don't want her getting hurt and I know you don't either. I may not have the right to see her, but I do have the right to love her." Derek said, sticking up for me. I felt tears come into my eyes. No guy has ever said that to me before. Suddenly, my dad points a gun at him. "No daddy!" I scream. I run and jump in front of Derek. "Don't kill him! Unless you want to kill me too!" I yelled, tears streaming down my face. "Angelynn, get out of the way now." Dad said. "No I love him daddy!" I yelled. He sighs and lowers the gun. "I want you out of my house now Poison." Dad said. "Well handle this." A voice said behind us. We all turned and seen a police officer walking towards Derek. "Derek Poison, you are arrested fro breaking and entering. You'll be in jail for at least 3 weeks." The officer said. He then takes Derek away while I try to go after him, but dad holds me back. "Derek!" I scream. "Angelynn, stay strong, I'll see you soon. I promise." Derek said before he was taken away. Another officer walks up to my dad and asks if we wanted a restraining order. I immediately said no, but dad went with it. Calee went home and I looked at my parents and yelled, "I hate you!" I ran to my room, locked my door, and started sobbing. I then noticed that Derek's jacket was on the floor. I picked it up and put it on, taking in the smell of Derek. I climbed into bed, pulled the covers over me, and whispered, "Please come back for me Derek." I then cried myself to sleep, thinking about Derek the whole night.
