Arjun had tried to give Meera the space she needed to sort through her feelings and make her decision. He focused on his music, hoping it would provide some solace and clarity. But his thoughts kept drifting back to her, the uncertainty gnawing at his heart.

One evening, feeling restless, Arjun decided to take a walk through the city. He wandered aimlessly, his feet leading him to a quaint café near the college. As he approached, he noticed a familiar figure through the window. It was Meera, sitting at a table with Rohit, the prospective groom her parents had introduced her to.

Arjun's heart sank. He stood frozen on the sidewalk, watching them through the glass. Meera was smiling, her laughter mingling with the ambient noise of the café. Rohit was talking animatedly, his gestures animated and confident. They looked comfortable, like two people who were genuinely enjoying each other's company.

The sight pierced Arjun's heart. He had known that Meera was spending time with Rohit to understand her own feelings and obligations, but seeing them together brought a painful clarity. Doubts and insecurities flooded his mind. Was she happier with Rohit? Had she already made her decision?

Unable to bear the sight any longer, Arjun turned away, his footsteps heavy as he walked away from the café. He found himself at their favorite spot on Marina Beach, the place where they had shared so many moments together. The gentle sound of the waves provided little comfort as he sat on the sand, his thoughts consumed by Meera.

He replayed their conversations in his mind, the laughter they had shared, the deep connection he felt with her. But now, all of it seemed overshadowed by the image of her with Rohit. He felt an overwhelming sense of loss, as if a precious part of his life was slipping away.

As the sun set, casting a warm glow over the ocean, Arjun made a decision. He couldn't keep living in this uncertainty, torn between hope and heartbreak. He needed to know where he stood, to understand Meera's feelings and find a way to move forward, whatever the outcome might be.

With a heavy heart, he pulled out his phone and sent Meera a message: "Can we talk? I need to know where we stand."

Back at the café, Meera's phone buzzed with Arjun's message. She glanced at it, her heart sinking as she read his words. She had enjoyed her time with Rohit, but her mind kept drifting to Arjun, the person who understood her in ways no one else did. The thought of hurting him was unbearable.

As she and Rohit finished their coffee, Meera excused herself, her thoughts a jumble of emotions. She knew she couldn't delay the inevitable conversation with Arjun any longer. She needed to be honest with him, to confront her own feelings and the reality of their situation.

Later that evening, Meera met Arjun at Marina Beach. The place felt different now, tinged with the gravity of their impending conversation. They sat in silence for a moment, the tension palpable.

"Arjun," Meera began, her voice trembling slightly, "I saw your message. I know we need to talk."

Arjun looked at her, his eyes filled with a mix of hope and sorrow. "Meera, I saw you with Rohit today. It... it hurt. I need to know how you feel. I can't keep living in this uncertainty."

Meera took a deep breath, her heart aching at the pain in his voice. "Arjun, I care about you deeply. More than I've ever cared about anyone. But I'm also trying to navigate my family's expectations and what they want for me."

Arjun's expression softened slightly, but the hurt remained. "And Rohit? Do you have feelings for him?"

Meera shook her head slowly. "Rohit is a nice person, but my heart isn't in it. I enjoyed talking to him, but it's nothing compared to what I feel for you."

Arjun's heart lifted at her words, but the uncertainty lingered. "Then what's holding you back, Meera?"

Tears welled up in Meera's eyes. "I'm scared, Arjun. Scared of disappointing my family, scared of making the wrong choice. But I know I can't ignore my feelings for you."

Arjun reached out and took her hand, his touch gentle and reassuring. "We'll figure it out together, Meera. Whatever happens, we'll face it together."

In that moment, Meera felt a sense of clarity and resolve. She knew the path ahead wouldn't be easy, but with Arjun by her side, she felt ready to face whatever challenges came their way. As they sat together, watching the waves crash against the shore, they knew their journey was far from over, but they were determined to navigate it hand in hand.
