Chapter 9: Noticing the Changes

Meera's friends couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in her. The sparkle in her eyes, the way she often drifted into daydreams, and the ever-present smile on her lips were telltale signs of a heart touched by love. They had seen these signs before, and it didn't take long for them to connect the dots.

One afternoon, as Meera and her close-knit group of friends—Priya, Kavya, and Raghav—sat in their favorite campus café, Priya decided to address the topic head-on.

"Meera, spill the beans," Priya said, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Meera looked up from her cup of chai, confused. "What are you talking about, Priya?"

Kavya joined in, her curiosity piqued. "You've been different lately. Happier. More... distracted. Who's the lucky guy?"

Raghav leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms with a knowing smile. "It's Arjun, isn't it?"

Meera's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink, and she tried to hide her smile by taking a sip of her chai. Her friends' teasing laughter filled the air.

"It's that obvious, huh?" Meera finally admitted, a shy smile playing on her lips.

Priya grinned. "Oh, absolutely. So, tell us everything! How did it happen?"

Meera recounted her growing friendship with Arjun, the moments they shared, and how her feelings for him had blossomed over time. Her friends listened with rapt attention, their expressions shifting from amusement to genuine happiness for her.

"I think you should tell him how you feel," Kavya suggested gently. "He deserves to know."

Meera sighed, uncertainty clouding her thoughts. "What if he doesn't feel the same way? I don't want to lose our friendship."

Raghav placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You'll never know unless you try, Meera. And from what you've told us, it sounds like he might feel the same way about you."
