The days following her parents' disapproval were some of the hardest Meera had ever faced. She and Arjun knew their love was strong, but they were quickly discovering just how many obstacles lay in their path. Beyond her parents' concerns, societal pressures began to mount, making their relationship even more challenging.

Whispers and rumors started circulating around their college and community. Friends and acquaintances, who had once been supportive, now looked at them with judgmental eyes. Meera and Arjun could feel the weight of societal expectations pressing down on them, testing their resolve.

One afternoon, as they sat in a quiet corner of the college library, Meera sighed deeply, her eyes filled with worry. "Arjun, do you ever feel like the whole world is against us?"

Arjun reached across the table and took her hand, his touch a source of comfort and strength. "I do, Meera. But I also know that our love is worth fighting for. We've faced so much already, and we can get through this too."

Meera nodded, but her heart felt heavy. "Sometimes I wonder if it would be easier to just give in to what everyone else wants."

Arjun squeezed her hand gently. "Maybe it would be easier, but would it make you happy? Would you be able to live with yourself knowing you gave up on what we have?"

Meera looked into his eyes, finding the determination she needed. "No, I wouldn't. You're right, Arjun. Our love is worth fighting for, no matter what anyone says."

Their conversation was interrupted by a group of classmates passing by, whispering and casting glances their way. Meera's heart sank as she heard snatches of their conversation.

"Can you believe she's still with him? Her parents must be so ashamed."

"They should just break up already. It's not worth all this trouble."

Arjun noticed the pain in Meera's eyes and stood up, pulling her to her feet. "Let's go for a walk," he suggested, guiding her out of the library and into the fresh air.

As they strolled through the campus, Arjun spoke, his voice firm. "Meera, people will always have opinions. They will always judge and try to impose their beliefs on us. But we have to stay true to ourselves and to each other."

Meera nodded, the strength in Arjun's words giving her courage. "You're right. We can't let them dictate our lives. We have to fight for what we believe in."

Their resolve was tested again that evening when Meera's aunt visited their home. Her parents had confided in her about the situation, hoping she could talk some sense into Meera.

"Meera, dear, you know I only want what's best for you," her aunt began gently. "But this relationship with Arjun... it's causing so much strain on your family. Why not consider other options? There are plenty of good matches out there for you."

Meera took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Aunty, I understand your concern. But I love Arjun. He makes me happy, and I believe we can build a wonderful future together. I can't just give up on him because it's difficult."

Her aunt sighed, her expression filled with pity. "Love is important, Meera, but so is practicality. Think about your future, your reputation. Is this really worth all the trouble?"

Meera stood firm, her voice steady. "Yes, it is. Arjun and I will face whatever comes our way together. I hope one day you'll understand and support our decision."

The days turned into weeks, and the pressure from society only seemed to intensify. Meera and Arjun found solace in each other's company, drawing strength from their love and commitment. They knew the path ahead would be challenging, but they were determined to face it together.

One evening, as they sat on a bench in their favorite park, Meera looked at Arjun, her eyes filled with determination. "We can do this, Arjun. No matter what anyone says, no matter how hard it gets, we can make it through."

Arjun smiled, his eyes reflecting the same determination. "Yes, we can. As long as we have each other, we can overcome anything."

Their love, tested by societal pressures and familial expectations, grew stronger with each passing day. They knew that their journey was far from over, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, united in their love and commitment to each other.
