Even though Hershel had insisted Cassie needed to get her arm taken care of, she knew they needed to talk about the governor situation. The makeshift bandage she had wrapped around it would do for however long she needed it too.

The group were spread around the cell block as they discussed what had happened. As Cassie leaned against the wall beside Rick she could feel a set of eyes on her. She looked up to see Daryl staring at her from the balcony and simply rolled her eyes at him.
"We're not leaving" Rick began the conversation making his side very clear. His voice was firm and Cassie could tell her brother would not be swayed on the decision.

Hershel however did not agree with Rick as he stated "We can't stay here" Cassie didn't know who to agree with but was leaning towards her brothers side as life on the road with a baby would not be the most manageable.

"What if there's another sniper?" Maggie asked to make them think about the attack they had just barely survived "A wood pallet won't top one of those rounds"

Cassie sighed taking in Maggie's point before she spoke "So we up our defences. Make sure if anything were to happen we're prepared" the blonde spoke. There had to be solutions for this other than running.

The talk of snipers brought up the points of not being able to go out in the daylight. Yes this was an inconvenience but it wasn't the end of the world.

"If Rick say's we're not running, we're not running" Glenn spoke making his opinion on the matter clear. Cassie was glad her best friend was ready to help stand their ground against the Governor.

Just then a voice from the canteen sounded making her turn to it. "No,better to live like rats" After his arrival at the prison with his brother, Merle had been sent to stay in a separate room from the group.

Rick also turned to face the redneck,tilting his head at him "You got a better idea?" he questioned making Cassie realise how bad the situation must be if he was asking for Merles help of all people.

Merle nodded before he told them "Yeah,we should have slid out of here last night and lived to fight another day. But we lost that window,didn't we? I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now"

Cassie was surprised Merle was actually trying to be useful by giving his opinion. But then again he was probably just trying to make sure he could stay with Daryl who then spoke "We ain't scared of that prick"

Merle who knew the most about the Governor was quick to correct his brother "Y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell"

Cassie scoffed making Merle stop speaking "He's got some way of introducing himself" she said making Merle grin at her comment.

"Right there Blondie" he then went back to his point "We might have some might thick walls to hide behind but he's got the guns and the numbers." Merle was annoyingly right about it "And if he takes the high ground around this place, he could just starve us out if he wanted to"

From beside Cassie, Maggie fidgeted with her hands anxiously as she spoke "Let's put him in the other cell block"

As much as Cassie could understand where Maggie was coming from she had to disagree "I hate to say this but Merle had a point. He know's more about the Governor then all of us"

Maggie shook her head as she turned to Merle getting angry "This is all you.You started this" If Merle had never taken them to Woodbury they wouldn't be wrapped up with the Governor but as Beth pointed out none of it mattered. They were in it now.

When she asked what they should do her father was the first to answer "I said we should leave. Now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here"

Rick turned away from Hershel, glancing momentarily at his sister as he began to walk away. When Hershel stood up from his seat on the staircase Cassie knew this wouldn't end well "Get back here!" he yelled at Rick who paused.
