Phir Ek Baar

Dosto ka Saath

A sudden horn from back made Naina realise that she is driving and a car in rush passed her. She wanted to shout at the driver as it's already so foggy then why is in a hurry. She was only able to see that the driver was a man and was driving in speed. After a few minutes, stopped the car outside a big house between the fields which was decorated for a festival. When gets down can feel chilliness in air and in her heart. She has come here to meet her friends and has not met them from some months as was busy in work or just wanted to stay away. When she was going towards the main door, saw same car parked near the door but decided to ignore him as do not want to spoil her friends mood.

Naina saw few people coming out of the house and then a woman who was talking to others loudly. She went near her and the woman hugged her tightly with a big smile. Naina also hugged her as she always gives her mother love after her own mother. The other people were just looking at their happy faces.

Woman (seperated herself and said in loud voice) : "Naina beta, tu aa gayi. Main bahut khush hu, abh dekhi kitna maja aayega. Jaa andar sabh tera intezaar kar rahe hain".

Naina (smilingly) : "Aunty Ji, main kaise na aati, Lohri hain aaj. Vaise bhi aap se milna tha, uncle ji se, apne dosto se aur us Huda se".

Huda's mother : "Amardeep tera wait kar raha hain. Tu hi hain jo mere baad use samjhti hain aur daant bhi sakti hain".

Naina (nodded) : "Aunti Ji, kya karu thora sa pagal hain par mera dost bhi hain".

Naina and Huda's mother laughed together as they know that he is a little bit childish but is a good friend who listens only to his mother and her. Naina went inside and few women come near to Huda's mother.

One woman : "Amardeep ki mummy, kon hain ye kudi. Bahut soni hain, shaadi hui hai".

Another woman : "Mujhe toh nahi lagta, mere bete ke liye baat kariye iski mummy se".

The first woman made a face as was thinking Naina for her son while Huda's mother got angry after listening to them.

Huda's mother (in an angry voice) : "Woh ek army officer hain, koi gao ki nahi hain jo tum logo kae nikame beto se shaadi karegi. Main toh chahti hu woh mere Amardeep se shaadi kar le".

The both of women didn't like her comment as may be their son is not an army officer or educated like Amardeep but still has lot of properties for which any girl would marry them. With long faces, they went to check the preparations for Lohri.

When Naina entered the house, saw Huda and Alekh who were arguing in the living room while Yudi was trying to calm them down. On the another corner, Pooja and Ali were arguing. She thought few things never change as they are still the same like were in KMA. Huda saw Naina and shouted

Huda (excitedly) : "Phoolan".

He ran and hugged her while the rest also moved towards her. Alekh removed him and embraced her tightly and then rest also did the same.

Alekh (smiled) : "Kaisi hain tu".

Naina (with a grin) : "Main thik hu, tu kaisa hain".

Huda (in a complaining voice) : "Mujhse bhi puch le, kaisa hu main Phoolan".

Naina (shook her head) : "Kaisa hain tu Huda".

Huda smiled as was happy to see her after many months. They are posted in different bases since last year and met only few times. He knows that she is trying to move on from the things that happened in past but still the guilt is with her. Alekh can see pain, sadness and guilt in her eyes which she tries to hide from everyone but not from him as knows her more than she knows herself. Yudi can see the sadness on her face and same with Pooja and Ali.
