Kal ki Baatein

The people around Sujal can notice his genuine smile and fast pace of finishing work since last week. He has just come out from an important meeting and looking at the papers which were signed by both the parties. His work in R&G is complete and would handover all the work to Piyush by tomorrow. Naina will be joining her new posting on its next day and is not able to wait to see her. Rishi and Piyush were happy for him and decided to meet for drinks on tomorrow evening. Piyush doesn't want him to leave the company but knows that he won't stay back because of him and his family behaviour. He doesn't know that Lalit and Chetan has already planned out something.

Sujal was arranging the files that needed to be shared when his secretary informed him that had been asked to join others in meeting room. He entered the room, takes a seat and looked at Lalit and Chetan.

Lalit : "Sujal, tumne pichle 1 saal mae humare business ko sirf nahi bachaya balki use bahut aage lae gaye ho".

Chetan : "Thanks Beta, tumhari help kae liye".

Sujal : "Lalit Uncle aur Papa, isliye hi toh mujhe aapne bulaya tha. I have made notes and will brief Piyush, Rishi and Varun about ongoing projects. So, that they can manage the business. Main kal tak hi hu phir mera is sabh se koi vaasta nahi hain".

They were hurt as he still has not forgive them as thought in past months something should have changed.

Piyush : "Sujal, aise kyu bol rahe ho tum. Agar business mae nahi involved rehna chaate toh as a family toh hum saath hain hi".

Sujal (glanced at him and chuckled) : "Family. Hum kabh tak the family Piyush, jab tak maine maana. Kuch logo ko toh main bilkul pasand nahi hu".

Piyush moves eyes down as he is right, no one stopped him when he was leaving the house years ago.

Lalit (with guilty voice) : "Tum thik kah rahe ho beta. Abh apni galti ka pachtawa karna chahte hain. We are changing the ownership shares of the company (Sujal with wide eyes look at him) Raheja will now own 55%, Grewal 25% and Sujal 20%".

Sujal peeked at his father and then at Piyush who both nodded at him. He was not believing that they are so desperate that is offering 20% of the shares.

Sujal (shockingly) : "Papa, Lalit Uncle aap ye kya kah rahe hain. I didn't come here for this but to only help. Main apne business par focus karna chahta hu".

Chetan : "Sujal, tum chaho toh apne business bhi continue karo, humhe isse koi problem nahi hain. We need you and don't deny that you also enjoyed coming back to this office".

It's true that he liked to work with old staff and on this business but can't forget what they did to him.

Sujal : "Kya aapne Vasu Aunty se baat ki kyuki mujhe yakeen hain unko nahi pata, verna aap mujhe shares offer nahi karte".

Piyush : "Maine unse baat kar li hain. Unko samajh aa gaya hain ki tum kitne important ho business kae liye".

Sujal wanted to clear few things with them.

Sujal : "Kya mera vote hoga big decisions mae, kya main apne projects khud chun sakunga, kya main logo ko hire ya fire kar paunga. Aur ha mujhe ghar aane kae liye mat bolna please".

Lalit : "Ha beta tumhe saare haq honge jo Piyush ko hain par ghar kae baare mae ek baar please sochna".

Sujal (in loud voice) : "Main wapas nahi aayunga. Kashish ko please mujhse dur rakhna. I will think over this but don't hope that will say yes".

Chetan : "Hum tumhare jawaab ka intezar karenge".

Sujal left the room as wanted to be alone and think over it carefully. Will he be able to work with them especially Piyush who sometime look at him as wanted to ask something or in guilt. He agreed to come here only for a few months but it will be hard for longer time. For him Kashish doesn't matter but have seen her trying to be near or talk to him even clearly telling her many times to leave him alone. What she wants from him now when he has moved on and has found happiness in Naina. Sujal thought to decide on this after talking to two women who are the most important part of his life.
