"When I talk to you, Oh~ Cupid walks right through..."

"Any Questions?"
The Teacher asked as he looked around the sun-bathed classroom.
"Yes Pepper?"

"What time do the busses leave?"
Pepper muttered. She had never been on an overnight field trip, so she had to be cool and get on the bus early.

"The Bus leaves at 1:30. You will all be sitting in groups of three."
He continued, writing a few names on the board.

"These are the chair assignment buddies so listen up.
We have Lenora, Maddie, and Daniel.
Next, Cece, Pepper, and Natasha.
Then Theo, Fiona, and Kate.
Collin, Sophia, and Winnie.
And finally, Rayne, Kacie, and Hannah.

"I've never met Cece and Natasha... hopefully they are nice."
Pepper thought to herself, gripping her shirt.

"And that's all for today, make sure to pack your bags..!"
The teacher finished and wiped off the whiteboard.

Pepper sighed and grabbed her backpack, walking out of the room and out to the bus lot.
It was her first time going on the bus, the past few weeks her grandma had been picking her up from school, but now she had to work, so now the bus picks her up and drops her off.

"Pepper, right?"
The driver asked as he scratched his neck.
"Yeah-"
She nodded, and the driver pointed to the back.
"You'll be in the back, next to that weird Collin kid."
"Collin?!"
She thought and looked at the back of the bus, Collin was looking at her and waved.
There it was.

That feeling again.

Pepper thanked the driver and walked over to the back.
"Hi Collin!"
She smiled and tried to engage conversation.
"Hi-"
He muttered and looked away, covering his head with his hood.

"...o-okay?"
She tilted her head when he ignored her.
She fidgeted with her red hair and leaned her face against the bus seat, staring at all the other students on the bus.
There were a lot of kids, some around her age, some older. And even a random teacher. And the driver, of course.

She flinched when the bus started moving.

She looked at all the kids and awkwardly looked away, feeling all of their eyes on her.
They were probably confused as to why she flinched.
