Pepper stared at the blood stain on her bed. Not knowing what to do.
"Ugh...."
She flopped down onto the floor and grabbed her stomach.
"Why today..... it hurts...."
"Sweetie? Are you—"
Her grandma paused in the doorway.
"You... can stay home."
She said and left the room.
Pepper sighed and sat up.
"Stupid.. period...."
She groaned and changed her sheets.

(At school)

"Where's Pepper?"
Collin asked as he approached Lenora.
"I don't know. She isn't answering my texts..."
She responded and checked her phone.
Lenora paused and started to smirk.
"Ooooohhh~ someone's got a FIESTY crush...."
"Shut it."
Collin huffed and crossed his arms.

Bₗₒₒₘᵢₙg ₗᵢₖₑ bₗₒₒd bₗₒₛₛₒₘₛ ₐₙd ₗₒᵥₑ.

Pepper sat at her desk. Dressed in a onesie with a heating pad on her lower abdomen.
"Hmmm..."
She thought to herself as she doodled a little.
"Maybe chocolate will help."
Pepper sat up and put her sketchbook away.
She opened her door and walked down the stairs.
"Hmmmm..."
She looked through her grandmas pantry and grabbed a bar of chocolate.
She bolted upstairs and slammed her door shut.

"Ah... it tastes too good..."
Pepper said and laid down flat like a starfish on her bed.

Knock knock.

Pepper rolled over.
"Come in..!"
"Eh-"
The door opened and she stared at Collin.
"Are you.. okay? You weren't at school and-"
His gaze flickered down to the heating pad on her stomach.
"What's th—"
"—nothing."
She took it off and shoved it under the sheets.
"There's nothing there... what do you mean. And uhmm... I'm still sick! Yeah...."
"Idiot... you are as pale as a bedsheet!"
Collin huffed and sat down next to her.
"Tell me what's wrong. Please?"
"No...."
Pepper pouted and looked away.
Collin huffed and looked around.
"Please? For your friend?"
Pepper paused.
"You consider me a friend?"
"Yeah."
Collin said as a little bit of blush crept onto his face.

"Will you tell me?"
"Fine.... I'm on.. my period."
Pepper blushed and looked away.
"Oh. Okay. I've studied female anatomy in biology so I understand!"
Collin smiled and patted her head.
"THAT SOMEHOW MAKES IT WORSE!—"
"..."
Pepper felt Collin pull her closer, so her back was to his chest while she sat in his lap. Collins hands were set on her abdomen, and he began rubbing in small circles.
Pepper felt her face become a beet red. But she didn't complain.

Pepper had eventually passed out in his lap.
"..."
Collin smiled and inched closer to her face.
The moonlight from the window was washing over her face.
Her eyelashes sparkled in the light of the stars.
The wind caressing her face...

"...mwah."

His lips touched her forehead for a split second.
Collin stared at her perfect figure in the moonlight once more, and then went to bed himself.
