FLORENCE TAPPED HER HANDS on her legs. she was anxiously awaiting jacob's arrival, because no matter how hard she had tried, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
he had been everything to her, he is everything to her, so she was hesitant to let it all go. her phone buzzed, and she jumped slightly. jacob had texted her, letting her know that he was here.
"oh, god." she breathed out, standing up and grabbing her purse. she unlocked her door, waving goodbye to her cats before closing it behind her.

"so, she's starting a podcast?" florence questioned, sipping on her espresso. "yeah, flo, seriously. she's starting a podcast and we went out to discuss the episode she wants me on. i'm really sorry i didn't make it to the album party, but olivia is not the reason why."
she cocked her brow – what was his excuse then? and when did they go out? "we had breakfast that morning, and i'm being serious when i tell you, i went home, took a nap, and overslept."
"so why didn't you text me earlier? it's been like three days," she questioned. "i was a little embarrassed, plus i saw how upset you were and i wanted to give you some time."
"reasonable enough." florence told him.
"so, what does this mean?" he asked her, the pair of them making eye contact. "i don't know, jacob, i think i need more time. can we just be friends? at least for now?"
she winced, she had never been the "can we just be friends" type, but it was genuine this time. "whatever you need, florence."
