chapter seventeen– castles crumbling
FLORENCE STOOD IN LINE, rocking back on her heels as she waited for her coffee. "oat milk latte for louis!" the barista shouted out, causing florence to look over her shoulder, confused.
as long as she'd known him, louis had ordered an oat milk latte for her and him.
it was way too nostalgic.
plus it probably wasn't even louis anyway, just someone with the same name. "that's me, thank you!" the man went up to the counter, a brown jacket and a hat on, causing florence to be unable to see who it was.
but when the person turned around, coincidentally bumping into her and spilling the coffee everywhere, florence knew who it was.
louis.
her louis.
"oh! louis, hi!" she greeted, acting as if the collision hadn't even happened. "flo! oh my god, i'm so sorry!" he apologized, grabbing napkins from the small table.
"it's totally fine, don't worry!" she assured, watching as he rubbed the napkins all over her shirt, to no avail. "you know what," he pointed, giving her a smirk as she looked at him in confusion.
"i have a hoodie in my car, you can change and go do whatever you're doing."
florence nodded, eager to get the smell of the latte off her t-shirt. she was also eager to get to be back in louis' car.
"that would be great, thank you!"
