"Uh, Spencer, I was just going, uh, cleaning out the attic, and these were some things that my wife packed away." Henry came knocking on my trailer door as I stared down at him and the items he was carrying.

Henry opened the tote bag for me to reach into so I grabbed some clothes, "Uh, they don't fit anybody here, so...,"

"You know, this thing tonight, they kind of make ya dress up a little," Henry explained to me, giving me the tote bag, "Oh, they're really, really nice, but don't think I'm going."

"Really? Huh." He said, "Somehow I didn't think you scared that easily."

I don't say anything as he continues to talk, "Well, suit yourself, but, uh, if you change your mind I'll just leave'em with ya."

Without another word, Henry walks away and leaves me with the tote bag of clothes. I sigh and look down at the bad of clothes as I shut the door behind me.

Dumping out the clothes on the tables I rummaged through and found a nice black dress and a navy-colored jacket together, "You gonna wear that?"

I didn't need to turn around to find out that it was Pablo in my trailer with me. "Maybe."

"I thought you said you were going to go?" Pablo asked, taking a seat on the couch, "I don't know."

"Well, you don't have a choice." He said, " As a trainer at Raintree now you need to go with me so make small talk with the other trainers on other racehorse farms."

"Since when was this decided?" I ask, "Since now."

I roll my eyes as Pablo laughs at me, "Come on, you have to go. Plus, since you stuck it to that girl you need to keep her scared of you."

"And keep making her think that I fucked her dad?" I laugh out loud, "Whatever floats your boat."

"You have ten minutes to get changed, then we're going to walk over to the festival," Pablo said as he walked out of the trailer, leaving me alone so I could change.

I try to get dressed as quickly as possible while making sure that my hair and the small amount of makeup I put on looked nice before stepping out of the trailer to meet Pablo, "You look nice."

"Fuck off," I laugh and give him a genuine smile, "Thank you."

"Let's get walking before it gets too dark," Pablo said as he linked my arm with his as we started to walk our walk over to the festival.

"You know that Crude could've won today." I said as we walked, "No. It was Avatar's day."

"You don't win these things with your heart." Pablo said as I could already start to hear the music from the festival, "Well, I've never seen anything like it in my whole life. Watching it on TV and actually going to a race is completely different."

"You know, you're doing well in training." He said as the fairy lights came into view, and the festival was already crawling with hundreds of people, "You think so?"

"Don't you?" Pablo asks me, "I think that Mrs. Ritter's is a little scared of me, but of I were her I would be too."

"You think like that, you're going nowhere you want to go in life." I groan at his attempt of a life coach talk, "Jean has a lot on her mind."

We walked over to a stand that was selling popcorn and Pablo offered to buy me one, "You know, I like Henry. Did you know that he drives a motorcycle?"

"Do not, under any circumstances, get on a motorcycle with Henry." He said while giving me my bag of fresh popcorn.

"And Todd, that kid is so brutally honest. He says exactly what he feels." I preach over the Ritter family, "Just like you, huh?"
