"I can't believe you're mine," I rubbed Breakaway's nose through her stall, "Not even three days ago we were running away from the police together because some evil person wanted to hurt you and now you're here with me."

"Hey," The sound of Matt's voice echoed through the barn stalls, "Oh, hey."

"How is she doing?" He goes up to rub behind her ears and she neighs in delight, "She's better than ever."

"I don't mean to intrude but, yesterday I heard you on the phone with some guy, and..., you could have told me." Matt said and I stared at him with confusion, "What guy?"

"From what I heard on the phone he is around 6'2, kind of buff, dark hair." Matt described the person he was talking about to me, "Eagle tattoo on his right arm?"

Matt nods his head, "Yeah, that's what I heard."

I couldn't help but laugh at the situation, "I was talking to my brother Jace. He's a merchant marine."

The look on his face made it well known that he felt like the stupidest person in the world but that was interrupted by the sound of someone honking their horn, turning around to see who it was came Junior walking towards me with a yellow flower that he picked from one of the pots out front on the barn.

"Thoughtful gift, dude," Matt says and Junior gave me the yellow flower, pulling up behind his car came out Dani.

"There she is. Late as always." Junior teases, "She got here five seconds after you."

"But I am a half-hour late." He protests as Dani and Amber walk towards us, "Hey,"

"Hi, Dani. Amber." I said with a small smile, "You left your jacket in my car last night."

Dani holds out a denim jacket out to Matt, "Oh, thanks,"

"We're gonna go to the diner. Do you want to come?" Dani asks me with a smile where her perfect teeth are showing, "Oh, no thanks. I'm really tired."

"You don't look tired," Amber perked up, "You actually look great!" I could tell she was trying to be overly nice to me and it made my brain start to hurt, "Thanks. But another time."

"All right, well, let's go. Spencer is tired." Dani gives a flirty smile as she walks over to Matt and gave him a kiss, "Actually, I'll go."

I found it ironic that Dani was trying to make me jealous about being with Matt when I was looking at her brother, not her brother's best friend, "Can I ride with you?"

Deciding to play along I grab on Junior's jacket to pull him closer to me, "I was just about to ask if you wanted to drive."

Junior smirked at me while wrapping his arm around me, dangling the keys out in front of me, "You had to ask, huh?"

He opened the door for me and I took a seat as he then shut the door behind me, still giving me that smirk as he took a seat in the passenger seat next to me. I pressed on the gas pedal all the way down as me and Junior sped off in front of Dani, Matt, and Amber.

When we reached the highway the music was blasting until Junior turned it down, "Take a right up here."

"I thought the diner was on Olivera?" I ask while glancing over at Junior, "Back roads. You can open her up."

Taking a sharp turn right we speed down the backroads, "You're not a bad driver for a girl."

"You nervous?" I ask in a teasing way and he laughs, "Okay, slow it down a little." I press down on the gas more and as Junior continues to give me directions.
