Amelia's pov
I walked into the alverez apartment
"Okay. Wow, look at you. Beautiful, huh? You must be breaking all the boys' hearts." Victor joked, hugging her
Elena chuckled nervously, before moving aside so he could greet everyone else inside the small apartment
"Is that Amelia?!" Victor greeted, hugging me as he walked past the couch.
He smiled at Lydia, who stood patiently in the middle of the room waiting for her greeting from the young man
"Looking good, viejita. Vente pa' ca. Dame un beso." He smiled
Lydia chucked weirdly and ran to hug him, making Penelope roll her eyes in annoyance at her mother's
actions.
"Alright, alright, enough." Penelope called
"Hiya, Lupe." Victor greeted
"Hi. Well, this is a surprise, because it's not a week from now. But it's all good, cause I got your many messages and texts telling me you were coming early. Oh, wait. None of that happened." Penelope snapped, in frustration
"Yes. I know, l'm early, but I really wanted to surprise Papi chulo over here and see his cello show." Victor said
"Awesome." Alex cheered
"Qué Nice, qué thoughtful...Kay Jewelers. They sell engagement rings." Lydia smiled, looking between the two adults
"And anyway, Lupe, I booked a hotel." Victor added, ignoring Lydia's awkward comments
"Okay. That sounds good." She nodded
"That sounds outrageous. He is family. Family doesn't stay in a hotel. Would you want me to live in a hotel?" Lydia asked
Penelope looked like she was thinking about it,
Lydia glared, "Hello?"
"No, no, no." Penelope finally decided
"Exactly." Lydia said, going to her room and closing the curtain.
"You understand. You know, we weren't expecting you for another week, and if you just drop in out of the blue like this, you can't really expect us to be ready for you, it's-" Penelope started
Lydia cut her off by slinging open her curtains, "ready!"
I giggled
"As entertaining as this is I have to go to cheer tryouts so I won't be here for dinner" I said
Alex turns to me looking at me in shock
"What no you can't you already dance you can't just over work yourself." Alex said, moving the front piece of my hair out of my face
"I'll be fine promise but m'gonna be late if I don't leave" I kissed him on the cheek and ran out

The next night, we were all gathered at the nursing home where they were supposed to be performing, when Mrs.Aaron called to tell us she got a flat tire.
"Mom!" Alex yelled, as we ran from behind the curtain to her and Victor.
"What? What's wrong?" She asked
"Mrs. Aaron's can got a flat, and she was moving all the instruments. Alex doesn't have his Cello and he's stressed which is making me stressed ." I said, pulling on my hair
"This sucks." Alex groaned, grabbing my hands
"Bad news, everyone. No recital today." One of the workers called to the small audience of family members and nursing home residents
"I really wanted to show you in front of everybody. You never get to be here for my stuff." Alex said to his father, before sadly walking off
Penelope and Victor had created a plan in order to hear Alex play. They caused a distraction long enough for Schneider to go get all of the instruments.
We all grabbed them from Schneider's arms before rushing to get on the stage and perform
"Oh, and now, I couldn't be prouder to introduce the St.Biblina String Quartet, starting cello superstar, Alex Alvarez." Victor smiled
As Alex and the rest of the quartet started playing I winked and waved at him getting a smile and a head shake back

As Alex and I are in my room at 12 am
we're cuddling and kissing. When we hear a knock on my door and panic
"Hide in the closet" I whispered, shoving him in my closet
I open the door to reveal My dad
"Dad?" I said staring at him
"Can I come in?" He asked, looking at me suspicious
I move out of the door way and let him in
"Yeah sure" I said
"Why are you up so late?" He asked me, looking around my room
"Just couldn't sleep was reading this book" I said, grabbing the one I had on my nightstand
"Amelia I bought you some things for your trip because you won't be near me" he said setting down a gold necklace box
I pull out a locket that had a picture of Me,my dad, and the Alverez family
He kissed my forehead and walked away without a word
I locked my door and opened the closet door
Alex is falling asleep on the little couch I have in there
"Alex come to bed" I whispered
He gets up walking like a mad child to the bed and throwing him self on my pink bed
God I love him
