Two Bit's dad didn't walk out on the family for no reason. He had to leave because his kids were being attacked by monsters, and he knew leaving would be the best thing for the family. He told Ms. Matthews why, and that she couldn't tell Two Bit and his sister. Because once demigods knew what they were, their scent gets stronger and the monsters find them faster. Especially with children of Olympian gods. Two Bit's dad is Hermes.
