When he was little, Dally's mom told him that the stars were really the eyes of monsters who come to Earth to eat little boys who play out in the street at night when the sun isn't protecting them, so that he would come home as soon as it started getting dark.
He believed it until he was 9, when he joined a gang and in order to be initiated into the gang, he had to help rob a bank at midnight.
