The Date

"Minho! You cannot just keep on eating my cheesecake," is the first thing I said when I had just woken up. I rush off to the greedy man and snatch the plate from him.

"These aren't cheap you know? They're also my favorite!" He snatches it right back, "You said you'd make it up to me, so this is your payment method." He takes another bite off the cheesecake, mockingly chewing it right in my face.

I sigh in defeat, "Fine, I'm going somewhere today by the way. You better not do anything stupid."

"Oh? Where are you going? Let me join."

"No. I'm going on a date, so you cannot join."

"Sure I can. Just pretend like I'm not even there."

"Ha, and how are you gonna do that? Stupid cat, human, whatever you are... Why do you even wanna join?"

He shrugs, "I'm bored. I haven't been a human in such a long time, and now I think I forgot how to human."

I frown, "Whatever, I'm going go get ready for my date." I head back upstairs to shower, brush my teeth, dry my hair, style my hair, and change into a casual outfit: an orange sweater, blue jeans, and Converse shoes. When I head back downstairs, I find Minho on the couch watching the television.

"I'm leaving now."

He turns around to look at me with his big pretty eyes, "Am I suppose to just stay here? Can I go out?"

"Do whatever you want, you have my permission. Just don't do anything crazy, got it?" He smiles and nods his head. I grab my keys and head out the door before closing it behind me.

I arrive at the amusement park, and notice Eunbi from afar. She was wearing a black floral dress with flats as she holds onto the strap of her purse. My, did she look really pretty. Her jet black bobbed hair, bangs enhanced her face shape, with her petite figure. How couldn't I give her a chance? And she's interested in me? Why me? She waved her small delicate hands at me with a smile.

I waved back and hurried over to her. "Did you wait long?" She shakes her head, "No, you're just in time." I flash a smile. "Alright, let's go then."

"Wait!"

I turn around to her, confused. "What?"

"Aren't you gonna hold my hand?"

"What?" I said although I clearly heard her.

She giggles before doing a cute little run to me. She takes my hands onto hers. "I guess I have to be the one to handle things."

"Oh, sorry."

"No, it's alright. Let's go have fun now." We had lots of fun. We rode rides, ate good food, played mini games, and bought cute things. It was around 7:00 pm when we decided to leave the park.

"Should we part ways now?"

"I guess so." I give her a small pat on the head. "I enjoyed today, Eunbi. I really did." She smiles, " When's our next date?"

"Well, where would you like to go?"

She thinks for a bit. "How about.. A movie date at your house?"

That works. I'd just need to have Kimchi at the moment, and not Lee Minho.

"I'm up for that. Just text me when, okay?" She nods her head. "Okay I'll be going now. Bye, Eunbi!"

"Bye, Jisung!" And we part ways.

Let's see what that trouble marker of a human, or cat, is up to.

When I arrived at the house, I didn't notice a Kimchi nor a Lee Minho in sight. I take out a key chain from my pocket, one I bought with Eunbi. We got matching ones. I admire it for a bit, running my finger along the fine detail of the cute cartoon character, Molang.

Am I really wanting to date right now? Maybe I should take my studies less seriously...

The sound of footsteps coming from the stairs make me look up. A sight of the shirtless man with a face towel hanging around his neck made me quickly turn around.

"Geez put a shirt on would you!"

I hear him scoff, "How was I supposed to know you came back? What's the big deal about it anyways? We're both men living together if you haven't noticed." The footsteps get closer as I hear him opening the fridge. "You got any food from going out? I'm hungry."

I turn back around, his bare back facing me as he checks the fridge. "You sure are getting really comfortable in my home aren't you?"

"So is there food?" He says looking back at me.

"Well you're part cat after all. What do I expect.." I place the key chain on the table and make my way over to the fridge. I lightly push him out of the way. "Get moving. I'll make some scrambled eggs for us." I take out the carton of eggs before turning on the stove.

"What's up with the key chain? It looks too feminine."

"Eunbi and I got matching ones," I respond back, still focusing on the eggs.

"Oh right, how did the date go? Aren't you gonna ask her out?"

"I'm actually not sure. I'm too busy with work and studies to be dating anyone right now."

"Reasonable."

I turn around to Minho who was looking at the key chain, and back to the eggs. "Reasonable? Is it really? My friends always tell me to have a little fun in my life."

"Yeah, everyone has their prioritizes. Your friends prioritizes are clearly different. Doesn't mean yours is wrong." I hear him put the key chain down before he heads back upstairs. "I'll go get changed so you can stop nagging."

He's pretty wise for a guy who isn't even fully human. And I have to admit, he has a pretty nice body for a... stray homeless living being...? The image appears back in my head as I quickly shake it off.

"I must be crazy." And soon enough, I'd never thought I might actually go crazy.
