Ugh, I'm so stupid. I sit up from the floor and immediately felt the aftermath of my poor decision of deciding to sleep on the floor.
"I could've at least slept on the sofa or something, but this-" I groan as I stretch out my limbs. I look over to my bed but don't see I single sight of Minho. He must've already gotten up. I head to the kitchen after I regulated myself.
"Woah," I say in surprise as I see Minho cooking in the kitchen, "since when did you cook?"
He turns around before focusing back on the cooking pan. "I used to cook for Jisung from time to time. Being a home-alone cat while Jisung was gone has its perks." He starts to set down the plates of food. "All those cooking shows I watched paid off." He finishes setting them all down and sits down at the table filled with food.
He looks at me and guides his hand to my seat. "Sit down. Breakfast is ready. Don't thank me. This is my thank you to you for helping me." And with that he starts eating his bunch.
My eyes sparkle from the food displayed. "Oh my god. I could cry." I sit down at the other side of the table.
"Though I haven't cooked like this in a while. So don't set your expectations too high." He warns.
I pick up my fork and quickly take a bite of my scrambled eggs, "Hey, food is food man. I could care less of what it taste-" I put my hand over my mouth as I savor the taste of the greatly seasoned eggs.
Minho chuckles at my reaction to his prepared breakfast. He seems to know how much of great cook he already is. "Looks like I still got it in me by your reaction."
I nod my head in agreement. "Damn right you do. I'm a bit jealous. They're better than my scrambled eggs." I say with a pout. And then, I go to town with the food. Who knew that cat man could be quite the cook?
Oh. Jisung would know that. What a lucky man. I mean, not now, but back then of course.
"Hey, are you certain you don't want me to leave?" Minho asks, shoving a piece of pancake in his mouth.
"No. I already told you this." I reassure, also putting food in my mouth.
He nods his head showing that he understands. "In that case, I'm going to be a cat most of the time. Actually, more like all the time."
I pause from putting another set of food in mouth and look at him with my cheeks filled with food. "Huh? Why? Do you not like me?"
He shakes his head and puts his fork down diverting his attention to me. "I would be too much of a bother. I don't even have money to pay you for rent. It would be much easier on you to live with a cat."
I put my fork down too and look at him, upset. "Bother?" I shake my head in disagreement, "I think it'd be much easier for me if you stayed human. I mean- that way I don't have to buy all the supplies for your cat body. And-and you could take over of the cooking if paying rent is a problem for you!"
He chuckles, "I guess so, but, I also don't really feel comfortable staying human with you. It just feels like I'm betraying Jisung in a way. I can't just go on and live with someone else after I just left Jisung for the same reason. Of course, you won't let me outside, so being a cat would be the best option for me."
I glance down at the almost-done plate of food, "Oh, I see... I guess I can't do anything about that." I look back up when I hear Minho getting up. He walks over next to me, reaches for his pockets, and drops a necklace of mine on the table.
"Here, it was helping me stay human all this time. But, I'm gonna live my cat life now." I glance at the necklace for a second and look back at him displaying a smile. I immediately stand up and wrap my arms around him.
