౨ৎIt had five months since Solàna announced her pregnancy. Jungkook was more than excited, spending the rest of the evening talking to her stomach even though their child was the side of a pea.
Their friends were even more excited, Olive crying a river of tears when she found out she would be an auntie. Aaliyah made a fuss about buying baby clothes, Jin saying he was already going to be shopping on Amazon for toys, and Namjoon was going to be doing any kind of research on babies he could in case he ever had to babysit.
It was safe to say the only calm one in the situation was Yoongi, quietly congratulating the young couple on their pregnancy.
The couple were most nervous about telling their parents and families. They've both told their parents about their relationship, but confessing about Solàna's pregnancy was nerve wracking for both of them.
Jungkook's parents were a bit more traditional, at least before his father turned to alcohol and became abusive. They always had this stereotypical image of him finding the right woman, getting married, and then settling down with children of his own.
It often left Jungkook pressured to follow that kind of lifestyle. That he had to do this at this age and that at that age. It's one of the main reasons he doesn't keep in contact with his parents much, and Solàna understood that after hearing him open up about his side of the family. That it wasn't just his parents that were like this, but most of his relatives.
His mom was the only who was more lean about her expectations with her son, considering he was her only child.
Solàna's side of the family were a bit more relaxed about how she handled her life. Growing up, her parents were more protective because she wasn't as aware of the world yet. After finding out about her autism, they were paranoid to expose certain things to her.
Up until her high school years, she was a girl who kept to herself. Solàna didn't interact much with anyone else, and that worried them. It worried them that when their little girl was finally grown up and out on her own, she would start to recognize that lonely feeling. They didn't want their daughter to grow up with no one to lean on, no one to talk to or share interests with. They only ever wanted what was best for her.
So when they found out about her relationship with Jungkook, they were enthusiastic. They did have their basic parent questions to ask, if he treated her well or not or how they met to begin with, but they were more than excited and couldn't wait to meet him.
But now, Solàna was five months pregnant. Her stomach was slowly swelling into a baby bump and she was starting to show. Since summer was making its appearance one again, May and June were one of the hottest months of the year. So Solàna often found herself wearing tank tops or sweats around the house.
She stayed home from work now, at least until her pregnancy was over. It was mostly an idea suggested from Jungkook considering he didn't want her moving around so much as the months went on.
Solàna often finds herself giggling at his antics, reminding him that she could still complete some tasks around their home. Like doing laundry, cooking, cleaning little areas of the house that she could. If there was something she couldn't do, Jungkook was there to help.
