Confessions

"Sophie!" A melodic sharp voice abruptly interrupts my dwelling in sober, lonely thoughts.

I swivel around to see Biana, fidgeting at my doorway. She wears a plain pink dress, and her hair is pulled back with a single silver clip. Not like her at all. Meanwhile, hot waves of guilt and worry radiate off her profusely.

"What's up, Biana?" I says, forcing a grim smile.

"I have a.. a confession," she says, biting her lip, "Be mad with me, hate me, resent me. I just need to tell you," she says.

This can't be good.

"O.. okay," I say, arching a brow and gesturing for her to sit down on the bed.

She twists her hands together so fiercely that she might pull them off. She clears her throat and looks me in the eye nervously.

"I want to.. to tell you.. that.." she starts, "That this thing with Keefe? It's all my fault."

"What?!" I say, confused, "How so?"

Then a whole shocking story comes out about how she helped Fitz charm me and how she saw him put love potion on that stupid bracelet he gave me. And how she didn't stop him.

My face softens.

"Biana.. I.. this isn't your fault.. don't dwell on it. Please," I say, although my hands deny my incalmity, my fists clenched and my jaw set.

"I'm still so sorry. I had no idea it would end up like his!" She says, throwing up her hands frustratedly, a stubborn tear trickling down her cheek.

I sigh and take her hands, "Biana. To make it up. You have to help me fix this. Now," I say.

She brushes her hand on her cheek roughly and looks me in the eye, "I thought  that was obvious,"

I smile but remember something and reply, "Uhm. Do you think something happened to Wylie too?"

Her grin falters, "Maybe. But it's up to us to find out."
