"You're safe now," Lisa says softly, though her voice is strained from the effort of controlling the storm. "We need to get out of here."

With a trembling hand, she gently touches my face once more, her anger beginning to give way to a deep, sorrowful concern. "I'm sorry," she whispers, her voice cracking with emotion. "I didn't mean for it to be like this. I just—"

I reach up and take her hand, feeling the warmth of her touch against the cold rain. "It's okay," I say softly. "I'm just glad you're here. We're together, and that's what matters."

Lisa nods, tears mingling with the rain on her cheeks. She leans in, pressing her forehead against mine, her anger slowly giving way to a quiet, profound sadness.

"I just couldn't stand to see you hurt," she admits, her voice barely audible over the sound of the storm.

Lisa carries me effortlessly in her arms, her expression a mixture of fierce determination and tenderness.

The rain continues to fall, drenching us both, but she remains unwavering.

Her grip is firm but gentle, her steps steady despite the exhaustion evident in her eyes.

As we walk through the rain, I can feel the weight of the day's events pressing heavily on both of us.

The forest is a blur of shadows and droplets, the only sound the rhythmic patter of the rain and the occasional rumble of distant thunder.

After ten minutes, the trees begin to thin, and the outline of Lisa's car comes into view.

Lisa moves with purpose, her focus solely on getting us to safety. She carefully opens the car door with one hand, still holding me securely.

Once inside, she gently sets me down in the passenger seat, her concern evident as she checks my injuries one last time.

Her touch is tender and reassuring, a stark contrast to the harshness of the storm outside.

"Are you okay?" Lisa asks, her voice filled with worry as she starts the engine.

The warmth of the car is a welcome relief from the cold rain, and the sound of the engine starting seems to bring a sense of calm.

I nod, trying to offer a reassuring smile despite the pain. "I'm okay. Thanks to you."

Lisa's eyes soften as she focuses on the road, her hands gripping the steering wheel with a determined strength. "I'm just glad you're safe. We need to get out of here and find a place where we can regroup and plan our next move."

As we drive away from the forest, the rain gradually begins to ease, the storm's intensity fading into a gentle drizzle.

Lisa's mother, who has been quietly observing from the back seat, turns to us with a concerned expression. "I'll contact everyone and start searching for more information on the Clavis Sigilli. We need to stay ahead of The Liberum and ensure that artifact doesn't fall into their hands."

Lisa nods in agreement, her eyes still focused on the road. "Thank you. We have to be prepared for whatever comes next."

The drive is quiet, the only sounds the soft hum of the engine and the gentle rain tapping against the car windows.

As we approach the nearest town, Lisa finds a safe place to stop and pulls over.

She turns to me, her eyes filled with a mixture of relief and concern. "We'll rest here for a bit."

I nod, grateful for her support and the promise of a brief respite. "Thank you, Lisa. For everything."

She gives me a soft smile, her eyes reflecting the same determination that has carried us through this ordeal. "We're in this together. We'll get through it."
