Abhi's POV

I was about to say something when a scream was heard.

"Aaaa--sirrrr....."

"Shit! It's dhyey." I said and we all ran in the direction from where the scream was heard.

Suddenly rohit appeared out from behind the staircase, and joined us too.

"What were you doing behind the staircase?!" I asked ascending the stairs.

"Sir we were actually playing hide and seek." rohit said.

Coming on the first floor, I tried to find where the scream came from and suddenly there was a tap on my shoulder.

"WHAT!" I asked, jerking my head backwards when I saw it was kaaya.

"Did you hear someone's scream?" she asked.

"Yeah. It's dhyey." I said and continued, "Let us all divide and find dhyey." Everyone went in different rooms.

After searching for like 15 minutes, there were still no signs of dhyey. We checked every room, every bathroom, cupboards, everything, but still no clue of him.

"Yeh patli hava me gayab ho gaya kya?" kaaya said, while trying to gasp for air. Everyone present there was coated in sweat due to the tension and constant run.
(Did he disappear into thin air or what?)

"Let's go on the second floor." I said and was about to go when aanya stopped me.

"Sir the hiding premises were only on the first floor, ground floor and basement, so he must be here somewhere." aanya said.

"Rohit, I told you guys to hide in pairs." shivangi suddenly burst on rohit.

"S-sorry mam, the lights suddenly went off so I couldn't notice anything and don't know when dhyey parted ways." rohit said slowly.

"Ab yeh gussa karne ka waqt nahi hai, hame dhyey ko dhundhna chahie." I said.
(It's not the time to get angry, we should find dhyey first.)

"But sir we looked everywhere, where the hell he can go?" keya asked.

"There must be something here." I said slowly, roaming my eyes around trying to find the smallest evidence I could.

"I'll look in the storeroom again." I said and went in the last room of the floor which is a storeroom.

I frantically started to look around, trying to find something, but nothing. And the last thing in the room was the cupboard in the corner. Everyone was behind me right now. Shivangi motioned me and I opened the door in one swing, only to get the biggest shock of my existence.

"What the actual fu*k!!!!!" everyone said at the same time.

It wasn't a cupboard. It was a door, leading to an anonymous hidden room.

"Turn on the torches and be careful." I said and started to descend the stairs.

When I was sure that everyone was downstairs, I moved my torch around the room to find the switchboard. After trying for like 10 minutes, I finally found the switch and turned on the lights.

"Woww." The only word which left everyone's mouth.
