RORY PATS KAT'S fur gently. She was making it up to Kat for her being lost.

The other group would meet up with them very shortly.

Rory had drawn a picture for Kat of a smiling cat face. She stared at the picture, lips quivering a bit. She had Kat for two months now; she wouldn't know what to do without her best friend.

Rory headed outside, sitting on the porch steps with Kat. She stroked the feline's fur, thankful that Kat is no longer lost. Sophia might have not been as lucky.

Rory remembered the first time she ever met Daryl, and she knew she wasn't too keen on him. It was just before lunch time when Rory was sitting on the porch, looking at the first aid kit beside her. T-Dog was sitting in front of Ariel, re-bandaging his arm. He watched as she attended to his arm.

Glenn stood behind T-Dog. He had his arms folded over his chest, watching Ariel intently – disgusted by the sight of the wound.

“I'll ask you to fix me if I get eaten alive,” Glenn mumbled.

Rory smiled at his joke to Ariel. She tilted her head and shrugged with a smile. “I only used to help my daddy with animals.”

Hershel was the best doctor – he had even fixed Ariel when she had gotten injured from a dog attack, worried for his daughter who had almost died. He had been the best father ever.

Rory looked over to Glenn. He smiled just as engines roared closer. Rory stood up quickly as several vehicles approached – two cars, an RV, and a motorcycle.

T-Dog, too, stood up. “I'll get the others,” he said and hurried off to tell Lori and Rick.

They had almost lost Carl thanks to Otis. That was better, as he had known a doctor – he had lived here for years, and Rory enjoyed their kindness. Otis had died last night – with Shane – after they had gone to get equipment for Carl. The funeral will be soon.

Rory looked over at Daryl.

He wasn't wearing a helmet. He glanced over at Rory, too, before getting off his bike and standing beside it. Rory still knew that he probably was like his – he looked like him as well.

Her mother had taught her never to trust anyone – she told Rory to always stay inside and never talk to strangers. She had met a lot of bad bad people in her life so she didn't object. Usually, she was alone before the outbreak.

She was staring at Daryl cautiously, not noticing Shane coming out, wearing some new clothes. They hung loose on his body. Beth and Jimmy walked out with Patricia. A couple minutes later, after everyone emerged from their vehicles, Rick and Lori came out.
