Forgetting Something?

They are sitting in Lena's office when Kara gets a text from Alex asking where she is. "I'm so sorry, Lena, I totally forgot Alex wanted to talk today. I promise I'll make it up to you." Kara says as she heads to the door.

"Kara, darling, aren't you forgetting something?" Lena asks looking towards the blonde's bag that she left in a chair.

Confused the blonde turns to Lena. Slowly walking up to the CEO, she kisses her forehead and then looks to Lena confused, for confirmation that's what she forgot.

Lena's brain stumbles as she looks at her friend surprised before finally smiling and answering the unspoken question with a soft chuckle, "I meant your bag darling, but it was a good thought."

"Oh!" Kara grabs the bag smiling, "Thanks Lee."

Lena smiles back automatically, brain still a little broken as the blonde leaves.

The second time it happens they are in Lena's kitchen when Kara gets a text from Nia this time, telling her that Snapper is looking for her.

"I've got to go. I guess my absence this morning has been noticed but I'll see you later for lunch, right?" Kara asks distractedly getting ready to leave.

"Yeah, but aren't you forgetting something?" Lena asks pointing to her temple where Kara normally fidgets with her glasses.

Kara, not getting the hint, looks confused for a moment before shrugging and walking over to kiss Lena on the forehead, "Better?"

Still not expecting it, Lena takes a stunned beat before responding, "And your glasses, Kar."

Kara grins with a happy, "Thanks!" as she grabs the glasses before walking out the door.

By the third time it can no longer be classified an accident... Can it?

They are cuddled together on Kara's couch watching a movie when Kara gets a text. She slides her phone out to look and groans, "I have to run to CatCo really quick, Cat's in town and her new assistant is having a breakdown. You can stay if you want, I'll be back as soon as I can. It shouldn't take long."

Kara pauses the movies before she gets up, careful not to jostle Lena too much.

"Sure, I have some emails to get through anyway." Lena says adjusting to pull her phone out and get comfortable, before looking at the blonde and chuckling, "Forgetting something?"

Seeing the blonde headed right for her gives her a little heads up as to what's about to happen, finally giving her a chance to mentally prepare. Kara leans in and softly kisses her forehead before smiling and turning away.

"Darling?" Lena rolls her eyes and waits for the blonde to face her, "Glasses?"

"Right! Thanks Lee." Kara says grabbing her glasses on her way out.

From there it becomes a pattern. Anytime Kara gets called away while they are together, whether Lena says anything or not, she kisses Lena on her forehead.

Naturally, something had to happen.

They are in the tower one afternoon, Lena working in the lab and Supergirl keeping her company, when the alarm goes.

They both walk out to see Alex watching a screen and waiting for them, "Hey, there's an alien headed toward town and it's wreaking havoc on everything it touches."

"Sounds easy. I got this." Kara says turning toward the balcony.

"Um Kar, aren't you forgetting something?" Alex asks, pointing toward the cape lying on the couch.
