Kara is in her office working on a new article about the fires that are popping up all over National City. She's sitting at her desk trying to figure out her wording when her phone starts ringing. She looks at the caller ID and sees it's Alex so she answers right away.

Kara we just received information that the fires all over town are from an alien that spontaneously combusts whenever his emotions swing. We have a location but we are gonna need Supergirl's backup.

"I'll be right there. Send me the location." Kara replies and she hangs up and changes into her super-suit. Once she flies out the window of her new office, she receives the location and heads over to help Alex's team.

Alex leads the raid with her team as Kara stands by, strictly there for backup. As soon as they enter the building it bursts into flame and Kara immediately flies in to rescue the team and put out the fire. When the fire is out and after a long discussion with Alex, Kara goes in alone to talk to the alien who, once again, bursts into flame.

Every time Kara puts the flames out, she can feel the heat so she's nervous to just go grab the man. After putting out fires and trying to calm the alien for an hour, Kara is frustrated and decides it's time to try to take him by force. As soon as she gets close to the man he lights up and she can feel her skin burning as she retreats.

After five more hours of talking to the man and putting out fires he finally agrees to go to the DEO to learn to control his power.

"Supergirl take him to the desert facility. It's better equipped to handle him and out of the way if there's a problem." Alex orders her sister and Kara does as she's told. After dropping the alien with Lucy and her team Kara flies back to the base in the city to meet up with Alex. When Kara lands on the balcony she sees Alex in the command center and walks over.

"Hey Kar, good job tonight. Go take a sun bath and then your free to go."

"Alex, I don't need a sun bath I'm fine I promise. Besides it's refreshing to not always be at 100%."

"Sun bath now! You need to regain your strength from that guy being able to hurt you. If you're not 100% you're not leaving. I will put you in the bed myself if I have too."

Kara knows better than to argue anymore knowing Alex wasn't lying about not letting her leave. Kara heads to the med bay and lays down and naps for an hour. When she's back at 100% and finally cleared by Alex, she flies around the city. Kara knows she isn't going to be able to sleep again because the sun has restored all her energy. She stops a few petty street crimes and a bank robbery to tire herself and before she goes home, Kara decides to stop and see Lena. She listens for the CEO and flies to L-Corp landing softly on the balcony.

When Kara looks through the windows, she sees that Lena has fallen asleep at her desk and smiles, "Such a workaholic."

Lena stirs and smiles sleepily with her head still on her desk. "Kara." She whispers.

Kara's still smiling as she shakes her head and carefully picks the CEO up and carries her to the couch. "You're so beautiful Lee."

When Lena's comfortable on the couch the hero unclips her cape and gently wraps the CEO in it.

"Sweet dreams." Kara says before she kisses the Luthor's forehead and flies out of the office.

Lena's heart is full of love as she smiles and snuggles into the cape that smells like her best friend. She's had a crush on the blonde since they met and Kara sharing her secret only made Lena fall harder, but the blonde means everything to her and the CEO is scared to lose that.

Outside the hero hovers above the city with her eyes closed as she listens to everyone in the city. She knows she loves Lena but she doesn't know if Lena is into girls... or aliens. The blonde can't stand the thought of losing the beautiful CEO or even being hated by her. Kara would be Lena's friend if that's what it took to keep her close and safe. Sometimes after being able to get hurt like tonight Kara would be able to harmlessly flirt, but tomorrow she'd be the stuttering and clumsy reporter again.
