Learning EVERYTHING pt. 2

~DEO Med-Bay~

Superman flew into the DEO 20 minutes after Alex called and went straight to the med-bay to see his cousin. When he walked into the room Alex was standing next to her sister checking her vitals.

"What happened."

"The best that we can tell right now is that she somehow has kryptonite in her blood. Winn is compiling video footage of the rescue so we can try to pinpoint what happened, where and when. Lena is in the lab trying to find a way to cure her but for now our best idea is to give her a blood transfusion and hopefully it will wash out of her system."

"Wait wait wait, Lena Luthor is here and she has access to Kara? What's to say she didn't do this?"

"Kara trusts Lena and that's enough for me. The transfusion was her idea in the first place and like I said, she's trying to find a cure. She hasn't given me one reason not to trust her and she knows what's on the line here." Alex says defending the Luthor and surprising Clark.

"Fine, maybe you trust her but I don't she's not allowed anywhere near me or my blood." Clark replies snidely while Alex sets up the transfusion.

"Fine but I wouldn't tell Kara you said that." The agent says as she finishes, "We've never done this before so we will go for 30 minuets and see how she's doing."

"I can handle my cousin and thanks."

"You can certainly try." Alex says as she turns to walk out of the room, "I'm going to go check in with Lena you just stay here and call if you need anything."

~DEO Lab~

"Hey Lena, how's it going?" Alex asks as she walks into the lab.

"I think I'm close, do you have something that simulates when Kara blows her powers out?"

"Yeah we should have a red sun light around here somewhere. What are you thinking?"

"Well if the Kryptonite is attacking her because of the Kryptonian part of her DNA then turning her human should nullify the effects. I just want to make sure it will get rid of the kryptonite instead of turning it off for a while."

"That's brilliant! I think I have a spare lamp over here." Alex says reaching into one of the drawers and pulling out a miniature sunlamp, "This should do the trick."

Alex turns the sunlamp on over the blood sample and Lena leans over the microscope studying what happens to the kryptonite, "Look it's working," Lena says backing away from the microscope so Alex can look, "Once the Kryptonian DNA morphs into human the kryptonite has nothing to attach to but we still need a way to filter it out of her system, assuming her kidneys can't."

"Is there even a way to create a filter that specifically targets kryptonite?"

"I can try but I would need time to study the makeup of the kryptonite and I'd have to understand how her body works."

"I know enough about her biology and a decent amount about kryptonite but we should let her kidneys try first. It shouldn't cause any harm and it would make less work for us if it works. And unfortunately since Cl-," Alex cuts herself off and cringes at Clark not trusting the younger Luthor, "I mean Superman is here there is no way he's going to let you study her or Kryptonite. Sorry."

"It's okay I'm a Luthor I'm used to it. Let's give her kidneys a shot and see what happens." The Luthor says and they walk out of the Lab together and head back to Kara.

~DEO Med-Bay~

Alex and Lena walk into the Med-Bay and as Alex pulls out the red sunlamps Lena checks Kara's vitals.
