what was y/n doing?
did he really agree to this? why did he agree to this?
the gymnasium was buzzing with energy as the two volleyball teams playing against each other were warming up. y/n stood near the entrance, fidgeting with his sleeves and looking around the area rapidly.
he had decided to take nishinoya up on his invitation, hoping to understand why he had been so insistent on seeing them play.
y/n wasn't really much of a sports guy, he didn't think he was really athletic either so why would he be in interested in things he wasn't good at?
y/n scanned the court, easily spotting nishinoya warming up with his teammates. it wasn't hard too, he was the one one wearing different colored uniform than the rest of the team.
he found a spot on the bleachers, away from the main throng of spectators but with a clear view of the game.
as the match started, y/n was starting to get pulled into the excitement of the game despite himself.
nishinoya was all over the court, diving and jumping with amazing agility. y/n was impressed and could see how passionate and determined nishinoya was. for the first time, he got a better sense of who the shorter was.
he leaned against the railings, staring at nishinoya in slight awe. the way he was carrying himself made it hard not to.
during a break, nishinoya noticed y/n in the stands. he smiled widely and waved with a lot of enthusiasm, his face glowing with happiness.
y/n froze for a second, then gave a hesitant wave back, feeling a warm sensation.
in the end, karasuno ended up losing, but they didn't loose without a fight. it sucks, y/n wanted to see them win.
guess he's just gonna have to ask when their next game is then.

walking down the hallway, y/n got used to everything people would do. stare, freeze, jump, avoid. it was a routine he unfortunately got used to.
and the avoidance wasnt secretive, everyone knew they were making it obvious they were avoiding y/n. to anyone who didn't know about the rumors was immediately pulled to the side and was informed. then they started to stay clear of y/n. he wasn't safe anywhere.
"y/n! hey, wait up!"
this time it was y/n who stooped and freeze. he wasn't on a first name basis with anyone, who could that be calling for him? he around to see none other than nishinoya jogging towards him, a bright smile on his face.
