Diona Pov

Time flew by afterwards. In the blink of an eye it's been 6 months since I  was born. That's nearly half a year.

It is currently autumn. Many trees have already started shedding their leaves.
It created quite a beautiful scenery outside. And I was lucky enough to enjoy this scenery.

Me, Mom and Bethany was sitting in a gazebo in the garden. I was in Mom's arm.

At first, I had thought that Mom would leave as soon as she recovers but so far she hasn't made any move like that. Some people may think that she had changed her mind but I knew better. She is going to leave. For the past six months I have noticed the resolve building and solidifying in her eyes. Though, I have no idea what exactly is she waiting for.

Mom tapped my nose saying 'boop' and just like that my baby instinct kicked in and I started laughing. She also smiled and did it again and again.

Bethany was silently smiling while looking at us. It was a very wholesome moment. Needless to say I was enjoying this autumn afternoon.

A chilly gust of wind blew over. Mom covered herself with a shawl. I did not feel that cold as I was wrapped up like a burrito to begin with.

"The weather is getting colder milady. Let's go inside." Bethany remarked.

"Yes let's do that".Mom replied and took me inside.

Back in the room Bethany went out to get some tea. There were other maids inside the room. They were simply standing. Why did they not go to get the tea? No idea.

Mom carefully put me back in my crib and gently placed a kiss on my forehead. She was still smiling at me. Sometimes, her actions confused me so much. I knew she was leaving but then she would behave like this. Honestly I would rather she hate me but it's so damn obvious that she doesn't. I really can't figure her out.

I was lost in my thoughts when all of a sudden my vision flickered. No, it actually flickered. I don't know how else to describe it better. It was as if someone had added extra colour in the world. I know it sounds good but it was not 'oh I am in love and the world is suddenly so colourful' type of colours. It was literally seeing colours in the air. Or rather seeing colour emanate from the people. I also noticed that there were strings floating around them. I was startled. I blinked a couple of times but they were still there. I also noticed mom's face.

Her smiled had disappeared and all the colour had drained out of her face. Now, she was simply staring at me, straight in the eyes. It was uncanny. Did she know what was happening to me? I blinked again and everything was back to normal. Mom was still staring at me. She stared at me for a long time. Some colour returned to her face. Then, she took me in her arms and started singing.

It was a really soothing song. I could not understand what it was about as it was in a language I had never heard before , but I could tell it was a lullaby. Before I could think more about what happened. I fell asleep.

Arabella POV

Diona was asleep before I got to the second verse of the lullaby . I carefully placed her in her crib with shaking hands. I was able to keep my cool but now it was finally hitting me what had happened.

I sat down on the bed and poured myself a glass of water with shaking hands. I downed it in one go.

Good Goddess, Unbelievable. Of all the talent that my daughter could have inherited from me it had to be 'that one'. There was no doubt that it was a very strong power but I did not know whether it would be a curse or blessing for the child.
