Disclaimer: This chapter has me subtly rant about people who use their religion as an excuse to be rude and hateful towards others. I don't intend to put down any religion, I just want to give those types of hypocrites their rightful criticism.
Soooo. I have probably changed Kyran from the original a lot a lot. So I just want to get in depth with how much I changed him as a character.
First things first, let's have an obituary for Kold (Kyran x Gold). In other words, Kyran is homosexual in this rewrite and only decides to "date" Gold because at first he is afraid of what his peers/ football teammates would say. On top of this, he is in a really religious family that doesn't support LGBTQ. Aaaaandddd, I also turned this to an excuse to ship him with my OC Clive and make a detective version of Dexer (Daxid Miller x Exer Campbell) (JACKSON'S DIARY FANS HIIIII! 👋👋👋👋)
Second, Kyran's family. He has SEVEN SIBLINGS, mind you. And ALSO, he is the oldest of the family. This would automatically make him the third parent and the cool babysitter. This would also lead him to have a 'mom mode'.
Third, Kyran's mom. I had a brief chat with @Anime_guy_Ky12 abt how we wrote Kyran's mom... So here is how I wrote Pauline Beauregard, aka Kyran's mom😭😭😭

Kyran's mom is a Southern Belle, but she is that one religious person who doesn't act like a religious person, but if she does only ONE thing, she would think she is entitled to say that she will go to heaven and say that the people who don't like her need a prayer request with the other ladies (while talking crap about the people she doesn't like). If not, she would say that they would rot in hell. She could be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad person and no one would happen to care. (*COUGH COUGH W1LL1AM M1LL3R COUGH COUGH*) And still, no one is there to tell her that she is wrong for reacting harshly if needed. I contemplated her st@bbing Kyran in the stomach as soon as she found out that Kyran kissed Clive and disowning him second after. Then Kyran having to drive himself to see Clive with a wounded stomach so he can see him again then ending up in the hospital for a week. Just for details.
Fourth, Lucas! So, he shares the dorm with Kyran. He is the second oldest and I just project myself onto him as soon as I figured that he is the second oldest. I took some of Kyran's S1 personality and put it into Oga and Lucas. As I gave the geeky and Kold part to Oga (but with Rainbow instead of Gold), I gave the shy stuttering part to Lucas.
Since there are 8 siblings in the family, the siblings are supposed to be pairs. This would be the case for Kyran and Lucas, but Kyran is booked with everyone else, leaving Lucas in the dark. He's jealous of people who occupy Kyran's time (though he is too afraid to tell Kyran that) and is occasionally clingy towards him. I also like to think that their younger siblings like Kyran more than Lucas.
Fifth, Chad. Kyran gets exasperated with the young child, but his mom mode knows that he is a kid who doesn't know what most humans know yet.
