Lost feelings...

Under the bushes

Shadow's POV:

Now that we were gathered together we were ready to discuss how we should set this all up.

Tails: "I brought what Knuckles mentioned in the plan." (He points them out.) "The EMP device and the tranquilizer darts. It should slow Sonic down for a bit."

Knuckles: "That's perfect Tails but be careful and use them wisely. Sonic isn't going to just let you hit him that easily."

Rouge: "Yeah but that's where the diversion comes in. We can use some of the traps I have stored down here to distract him for a bit. (She walks over to this closet full beartraps and stuff like that.)

Shadow: "Once we're in position Tails and I will wait for the perfect moment to move in. Once we get Amy we'll signal you guys back so we come back into one group again."

Tails: "What if something goes wrong?"

Rouge carries a box full of flares to the table.

Shadow: "We adapt. We have to stay in communication and use everything that we have to prepare but most importantly we have to stay focus."

Knuckles: "He's right. Let's not think that way because we're going to be successful and bring Sonic back to his senses."

Shadow: "This won't be easy but let's go."

Rouge: "Let's move quick and quietly. Stay low and hidden. I'm sure he already knows we're coming."

We all nod our heads grabbing everything we needed for this mission. Rouge grabbed a backpack where she and Knuckles stuffed traps inside. Tails and I grab a flare each and the gadgets he brought. We faced Rouge and Knuckles waiting for them to finish and once they were we headed out.

Rouge: "Should we check the forest first before going to his house?"

Knuckles: "I think it's worth our time. We're not sure where he is at the moment."

Shadow: "You're right. Rouge I need you to look from above while we stay hidden."

She nods her immediately ascending into the air. Knuckles looked up into the sky following from down below. Now that they were both somehow in the woods looking around me and Tails needed to stay close and wonder inside too. We crept through the woods seeing Rouge still looking around. We crawled from bush to bush keeping hidden. Before we made our next move our walkie talkie started to play.

Walkie Talkie: "I-I see Amy with Sonic!" Rouge

I looked up into the sky searching for Rouge and I see her fly down somewhere not to far.

Shadow: "Come on we're not far from them!" (I say running towards where I last saw Rouge.)

Tails: "I think I see him!" (Tails quietly yells.)

I pull him behind a tree as I watched their every movement. I was shocked to see that Amy was having a good time with Sonic. Was she not aware of what Sonic has done to us? Tails lays down on ground while a bush covered him completely making him out of sight and I got on the ground too. Tails started preparing the EMP device getting ready to use it.

Shadow: "Get ready for the distractions so we can go out for Amy."

Tails: "Got it!"

Knuckles POV:

I had my eyes on Sonic and Amy and on the Walkie Talkie I heard Rouge speak as she flew back down. She landed besides me and we both watched them.

Rouge: "What is she doing?" (She whispers with a little bit of confusion.)

Knuckles: "I'm not sure but she probably still needs our help. Let's set everything up now."

We got back to work and Rouge carefully set several noise makers down that were hidden behind rocks and under leaves. I had a few noise makers aswell that I placed on higher ground being sure that it'd confuse him. We also had flash bombs and Rouge placed some down whefe she knew Sonic would investigate. We had some escape routes just in case so I placed some around them so he'd be met by a disoriented flash of light as we escaped and flee the area.

Now for the last thing that needed to be done I dug some pits on the ground that would be covered with foliage. I made sure these traps were placed in spots I knew Sonic would place his foot in. I hoped that none of this would really cause any harm to him but it was good for slowing him down. Rouge rigged some low-hanging branches to swing down if disturbed.

Rouge: "Are we all set?" (She whispers. I nodded and she took out her walkie talkie.) "Get ready I'm about to start triggering the noise makers."

Shadow: "We're ready when you are." (He responds quickly.)

We looked back at Amy to see her face full of worry as she looked over at where Shadow and Tails were hiding. I was certain that she knew we were here to come and get her.

Amy's POV:

I could feel Sonic changing a bit and I was having a great time with him at the waterfall. It was extremely beautiful and romantic but I turn my head to see figures behind a bush. I squinted my eyes trying to make out the figures until I noticed that it was Shadow and Tails watching us from afar. My heart raced seeing both of them and I was sort of relieved that it was time to get Sonic the help he needed but I also worried about their safety. If they were both here I knew that the others would be here to.

I started getting extremely nervous thinking about the way Sonic would react after discovering them. I didn't know what to say or do until we hear a loud pop coming from behind. Sonics hand that was once around me touched the ground and he flipped his head to where the noise was coming from.

Sonic: "You heard that too right?" (He says getting up from off the ground.)

Amy: "I-I don't know...m-maybe it was just an animal." (My voice trembles.)

Sonic: "Amy wh-" (He freezes and slowly turns around. He gives me this suspicious stares.) "What's going on?" (He says in a deep manner.)

I backed up and he followed. I was afraid to stare him into the eyes but he gave me a look of confusion as he gently grabbed my hands.

Sonic: "Why are you acting so weird? I thought we were having a good time."

I saw Rouge appear from a bush waving at me.

Amy: "Wh..- W-we were having a good time!" (I tried to atleast sound normal.) "Why don't we just sit back down and ignore it. I'm sure it was nothing."

I see Rouge grab a rock and aim it towards Sonic head and duking back down. He grabs his head immediately turning around to where the rock was thrown.

Sonic: "What the-!"

Amy: "Sonic are you ok!?" (I ask worried.)

I tried to keep him distracted but I wasn't sure what their plan was.

Sonic: "Stay here. I think I know what's going on." (He says letting go of my hands and walking towards Rouge.)

I couldn't let Sonic find Rouge hiding under the bush.

Amy: "Wait! Sonic its nothing let's just go back home!" (I pull on arm trying to stop him from getting closer.)

Sonic: "Amy off." (He pulls his arm back.)

Amy: "I...I..Sonic please I just want to go home!" (I beg him grabbing his arm again.)

Sonic: "Amy." (His voice deepens becoming serious.)

Amy: "Sonic stop I just want to go back home!" (I pull on his arm.)

Sonic: "Amy I said move!" (He yells in my face. His anger scared me.) "What are you trying to hide from me!?"

I furrowed my eyebrows as he stares at me with anger in his eyes. I was unable to speak and I felt tears form in my eyes. I let go of his arm and back up and scuffs turning around about to investigate the bush. I didn't know how to distract and or stop him from getting closer I just hoped Rouge knew what she was doing.
