Madelyn Evans has been neighbors with the Walter's for as long as she can remember. A couple of years ago, the Garcia boys moved in with the Walter's. Instantly, Lee and her clicked, but Issac not so much.
Madelyn pov I was already two shots and three and a half cups of mysterious alcohol in. It tasted good, so I didn't mind.
My friends were in the lake while I cuddled up in my blanket near the fire. My brother,Lee, and Issac hung out with Cole and Danny basically the whole time.
Every so often, my friends would come and check up on me. Weirdly alcohol relaxes me so much I get tired.
I've almost fallen asleep in this chair four times. I just gave up and let myself sleep.
Issac pov
"Yeah, hold on, I'll be back," I tell the guys as I walk off to get a drink. On the way there, I notice a sleeping figure.
As I walk closer, I can see Evans is knocked out. I go over and take a seat next to her.
I slouch down in my chair. I slightly turn my head to look at her.
She looked very peaceful. The way her hair slightly covered her face. And the sun hit her face perfectly. Her lips were curved into a small smile.
Her legs were tucked to her chest, and the blanket was tightly wrapped around her.
I sat there in awe as I admired the girl next to me.
Her eyes slowly fluttered open as her eyes adjusted to the light.
She looked at me in confusion. "What are you doing, garcia?" she asks in a soft voice, which I'm not used to.
Normally, every time we interact with each other, it's just us screaming. This I'd way better.
Her eyebrows knit together as she waits for my answer. "Just to check on you, Evans." I match her tone.
She slowly nods. Nothing is said after that. We sit in silence just enjoying the others' presence.
I notice her shiver and rub her arms. Without another thought, I pulled my leather jacket off and handed it to her.
"Take it," she hesitates before grabbing it and putting it around her shoulders.
"Aren't you cold?" she asks worriedly.
I shake my head. "Nah, I'm fine."
I can tell she's drunk by how calm she's being and the loopy smile across her face.
"Aww, you care about me," she teases.
Of course, I care about you. " Yeah, but I still hate you." I joke back.
She giggles. "Oh right, of course you do."
Madelyn pov
Issac and I talked for a while before my brother and Lee found us.
"Oh, so this is where you are, garcia." My brother jokes as he and Lee stand in front of us. "Ditched me for my sister, I see."
"Well, she's fun to talk to," he compliments as he looks over at me and winks. I nod and give him a high five.
Lee and Josh look at each other puzzled. "Wait, since when do you two get along." Lee asks as he points at the two of us. We just shrug.
"Wait, Mads whose jacket is that?" Josh scolds as he notices the leather jacket on my shoulders.
"It's mine. Calm your shit down." Issac replies for me as he rolls his eyes.
"Hey, don't talk my brother like that." I smack his arm. I hear the boys laugh.
The boys take a seat next to us. "How much have you had to drink?"
"Just 4 shots," I slur.
"And," Issac says.
I groan." And 5 cups of whatever this is," I regret admitting. I hold the red solo cup up to my brothers face.
He quickly snatches the cup. "You let this happen," he glares at Issac. I gasped from the absence of the cup.
"This is the most relaxed I've ever seen her," he says casually. I nod, reaching over and grabbing the cup back.
It was finally time to go home. Katy ended up driving us. I couldn't even walk to the car. Lee gave me a piggyback ride.
I was squished between my brother and Issac the whole ride. My head lay in Issacs lap as my legs were on Josh's lap.
Not even five minutes into the drive, I had already passed out asleep.
