As we walked in to the event the amount of people that were there was overwhelming. A bunch of stands with workers were set up everywhere.

We walked around a while before we met up with Lee at the cider cart.

Issac, Lee, Jackie, and Alex were at the cart selling cider or at least trying to. Alex and Issac were trying to get the barrel to work as Lee and Jackie stalled the line of customers.

We approached the four as we heard the line behind us telling us to wait.

"Hey guys, what's the hold up on cider?" I tease as I know they're struggling. It's pretty much like this every year.

Lee rolls his eyes. " Well, tweedle dee and tweedle dum over there can't figure out the pump," he points as he sighs. I turn my head to see the two boys basically throwing themselves at the barrel of juice.

I walk over to help them.

"You guys need help," I offer as I cross my arms.

They both glance at each other before answering.

"Yes." "No." the two boys answer in unison. I raise my brow at them

Alex jumps down from the barrel "Dude yeah we do. we've been doing this for the past hour," Alex complains as he walks over to where Lee and Jackie are at the stand.

Issac scoffs as he jumps down and joins the rest of our friend group. "There's no way you're getting it,though." Issac gawks with a smug smile.

I ignore him as I put my phone in my pocket, then climb up to see what happened. I don't know really how to get this going, so I just start doing a lot of kicking and unscrewing until something feels right.

I go to check by unscrewing the spigot. Sure enough, the cider finally pours out. I close it and then jump down with the same smile Issac had. But his is now replaced with a shocked expression.

"You shall serve the peasants squeezed juice from an apple," I say in an old-time British accent as I bow in front of my friends. They laugh as I stand back up.

The seven of us sell cider for merely hours. But as soon as fewer people started coming, we decided to take turns going on break.

"Me and Jackie are out," Alex said as he pulled Jackie away with him.

"Yeah, us too," leece says as her, katy, and Lee slowly leaves.

"Sorry Evans, but I got to keep up with the hot cheerleaders," he says as he jogs off.

Now it's just me.

I pull my phone and airpods out and listen to music. I might as well enjoy this alone time. I leaned against the barrel as I waited for people.

I kind of zoned out until this guy walked up to the stand. I got up and went to go help him.

"Hi."

"Hi, uhh, can I get 2 cups of cider?" he asks sweetly. I nod as I grab two cups and walk over to fill them up.

I set down the cups in front of him. "You must really like cider." I joke, trying to make small talk.

He smiles, then hands me the money. "Nah, not really, just the pretty girl selling it."

I can feel myself blush. " So are you new here cause I've never seen you before?" I ask, trying to distract him from the fact that I'm smiling like a maniac.

"We just moved here," he explains. I nod, not wanting to say something to embarrass myself. We continue to talk as I sold people cider.

I got bored, so I wandered back to the stand. Evans is probably bored out of her mind, so I'm actually doing her favor by gracing her with my presence.

As I neared the stand, I noticed she wasn't alone as I anticipated. There was this guy talking to her. I guess he made her laugh cause I could see her smiling and laughing. What the fuck could she even be laughing about.

I walked over there annoyed. "Who is this?" I ask.

"Oh umm Jacob this is Issac he's my annoying next door neighbor. And Garcia this is Jacob he just moved here," she introduces.

"Hi nice to meet you" this guy says.

"Yeah sure Evans can I talk to you in private." I ask. Before she answers  yank her over to the side where goody two shoes over there can't hear.

"What the fuck is that fucking idiot doing her" I whisper scream.

"Well you guys left me alone so I found someone to talk to." She whisper screams back. "Awww are you asking cause your jealous" she teases.

"The fuck I'm not jealous. I could never be jealous of that thing" I point over at the guy.

She gasps " just because you ran out of hoes doesn't mean you get to shit on my relationship with guys" she angerly rants.

"Oh so your dating the stranger now" I say matter of factly.

She scoffs " no but if I was why does that matter to you".

I don't know what to say so I angrily walk off to go find Lee.

The drama. These next few chapters are going to be fun. Like always thanks for reading 🩵
