Sophia
After the open house, Spencer convinced me to go visit Owen. Spencer's friend Tucker asked him to stay for the weekend and Liam stayed with Vivian's family. Any concert that Vivan had or any hockey game they invited me to, I always brought the boys. Vivian informed me that her parents are always talking about Liam and spencer.
The private investigator I hired told me that my moms case had a new lead. After checking the account I have, which is where I store all of the money I set aside, I realized that I had enough saved up for a down payment on a small place. The diner isn't bringing a steady income in so I've been setting up some interviews with a teaching gym.
If I win the skating competitions, I will have enough money to pay off my car and for two months of rent and grocery costs. I've been training my ass off for this competition. The train ticket to Owen's hometown was going to be pricey but when my dad told me that he was finally going to rehab he said the money he put into a traveling fund was at my disposal for anything. I decided to take advantage of the money and put it towards the train ticket.
Stepping off of the train steps and onto the platform I'm greeted with a sense of uneasiness. Spencer promised to text me with updates and if he needed anything. Vivian promised that Liam would be fed, warm, and safe for the two days that I am gone. Once I get back to Aspen, I'm going to have exactly one week to get ready for my competition. Thanks to Andrew for coming to pick me up, I don't have to worry about getting a taxi.
It takes all of thirty minutes to arrive at Owen's house. The ride to his place was silent. Andrew didn't talk at all which was nice. I was able to look at the details for my flight, hotel, and equipment for the ice skating competitions. As we pulled into Owen's childhood home Andrew spoke.
"Sophia be aware, Owen's childhome is just as it looks. His little sister is a dancer and she is fierce. Just be aware of what you're getting into."
"Thank you Andrew but I think I will be okay."
Walking into Owen's house I see family portraits. There is a couch off to the left with a fireplace in front of it. A tv is mantled right above the fireplace. It smells of a homemade meal and love. There is an ecstatic squeal and then I'm wrapped up in a warm hug.
