I woke up sweating and checked the time. 9:45. I quickly panicked over the thought that I over slept for school. My cousin ,Jimmy, woke up from the sound of me putting my school clothes on and said "Yo Nick, what's up? Why are you getting ready for school? It's Sunday man."
The expression on my face turned from panicked to a smirk. "Hey man, just came here last night. I forgot it was Sunday."
My cousin and I both started laughing and he asked,"Hey, I'm meeting up with some of my friends from school in downtown. Wanna come? Angela will be there".
I quickly said yes without thinking. It was from the fact that he had said Angela was going to be there. She was the girl I had a crush on in the 7th grade before I got expelled from the school for accidently starting a fire in class. I checked my pockets for my wallet and only had $30.
We got dressed and headed out the door. We walked around to the back and hopped the fence.
"They are building something right there so we can ethire go around or jump on the building and climb down the ladder.", Jimmy turned and said with a smile.
"Just like old times man", I told him.
I climbed over the barrier and stood on the edge. I looked down. It was about a 1 and a half story drop to the bottom. I back up as far as I could and leaped from the edge. I made it onto the building and signaled my cousin to go next. He leaped as far as he could and only made one foot onto the edge of the building. I quickly grabbed his hand as soon as I saw that he wouldn't make the jump. I pulled on is arm as hard as I could and got him on the building.
"Thanks, but I didn't need your help" he stated in a way I could tell he was joking.
We made our way towards the ladder on the side of the building. I looked over the edge to see if there was anyone nearby that would see us. We made our way down the ladder and set off for the train station.
When we got close to the train station I could hear the train come to a stop and stopped mid sentence and took off up the stairs to catch it. I made it in and so did my cousin before the doors shut.
"There's a problem", he said
"What?", I asked
"First we didn't buy the ticket to get on and second...... The cop is about 2 carts down and is checking for tickets." He responded.
"Well crap!". I said
We darted towards the back to jump onto the next cart but realized we were on the last cart. We ran towards the cart in front of us to keep an eye on the cop to see if he's getting close.
Time passed by of sitting on the train waiting for the next stop to come quick. The cop finally got to the last person and was close to jumping on to our cart. The next stop was coming up and we noticed she was still on the last person. She was ticketing the girl and thank God she was because it was still a while before we came to a stop.
We finally got to the stop and took off from the train. It was a couple blocks till we got to the meet up spot.
Sorry for not updating in a while, I wanted to wait a while so I can have a story to have. This sorry just follows my life.
