I went into the kitchen and started my chores. I pick up a dish ran the water and began to think about my last days of middle school before going into high school.
Earlier that day
I walked into my history classroom and sat all my stuff down to Begin taking the second from last EOC exams before finally finishing my last day of middle school. I didn't want to talk to any of my friends after i finished my test because I started thinking about Alyssa and it made me feel like everyone in the room hated me.
Alyssa was one of my ex-girlfriends for the reasons of not going to the same high school next year. This was a month ago and the reason being was that I didn't want to have a girlfriend that went to a different school because I have trust issues and can't do long distance relationships. It ended up turning into "I tried to find an excuse just to break up with you" things, when in reality She was my most trusted best friend and wouldn't let her go for anything but I had to set her free. Then after it made me look like the bad guy because a week after breaking up with her I went after a different girl. It happens and everyone knew about it and I thought everyone disliked me at the moment so I sat the rest of the class over thinking things.
The bell rang and I was off to my last class of the day and exam of the day. I walked into class and felt like I could ace this test of AVID. I blazed though it and waited for everyone finished while I sat on my phone. As soon as we all finished I had felt better about the situation and started talking to everyone. We played Dance, Dance Revolution until we had to go to lunch. The lunch bell rang and I was off to go find my friends.
As I was rushing to the lunch room I ran into Rachael.
"Hey Martin!"
"Hey, do you see anyone we know in here?"
"Nah, all of these people are just 7th graders. Just come with me to get lunch and we can sit together."
"Alright, but I don't have any money to buy lunch so I'll just stand there."
"Its alright I'll buy you lunch."
"Really? Thanks."
We got our food and sat down at a table and started talking.
"So what's up with you and Lauren? Are y'all dating?"
"Well not really. We just have a thing. I'll probably just ask her out before we make to high school. Don't wanna ask her and then over summer not being able to see her. What about you? Talking to anyone?"
"Not really, it's a long story. So what high school are you going to? Rockwall or Heath?"
"Rockwall, but all my friends are going to Heath except for Lauren."
"Ah dang, I really wish you could come to Heath with me. We would have so much fun together."
At this point I knew she was flirting so we just kept talking to each other and she just keep throwing hints at me. The bell rang and I was headed back to Lauren's class .
"Hold up Martin! I'll walk with you to class. This is the last time I'll see you."
"Alright but I'm not going back to my class. I'm going to go see Lauren if you wanna come."
"Sure, then after I'll walk you to class."
We walked down to her room and snuck in to Lauren's class. I went over to her and she swung her arms over me and hugged me.
"Aren't you supposed to be in class?"
"I wanted to come see you."
"Won't your teacher notice you are gone?"
"Yeah, I'll come up with something on the spot like I always do. Speaking of that I'll be back to go talk to my teacher."
I grabbed Rachel and we walked down to my class.
"Do I get a hug before you go?"
I thought why not and she pulled me towards her and squeezed me tight and didn't want to let go. She let go and told me she'll miss me and I walked into my class.
"Martin! Where were you and why are you late?"
I sighed and at that moment timed stopped and I planned the scenario in my head on what to say and how it would go. I got what I was going to say and time came back
"Ah Mrs.Cook, I was in the lunch room cleaning tables because I got in trouble for making a mess and I just came back to get my bag and go back to finish cleaning."
"Alright, Hurry up and go. Have a nice summer."
I walked out of class feeling like a boss. Im a very fast thinker when it comes to a necessary point. I could BS my way of anything.
