Ah, the memories. The only things that don't get up and leave when they get bored. They stick with us as long as we remember they are by outside to help us when we get lonely. However, everyone seems to remember differently, only the parts they wanna believe.

I finish with the dishes just in time because I could the garage opening and the dogs barking. I quickly ran up stairs to grab my phone and ran back down to throw it on the counter.

"Nick! Where is your phone?" My Tia exclaimed

"I already put it on the counter. Can I really not have my phone yet?" I said with puppy eyes

"Well when you were grounded originally you thought it was a good idea to go behind our back with a tablet to text your girlfriend, so no. You can't have it back", she responded

My ex. Ex girlfriend. She only did it to grind my gears. Mission accomplished. I headed back upstairs to my room to fulfill my summer plans.....Being Bored

The only reason I push away the family I live with is because they bully me. I've been hurt beyond limits physically by my uncles but never emotionally like the way my cousins and godparents do. At least my uncles showed they loved me every now and then. It's like I can visualize the horns on their heads and the mind control device on my Tio Mundo's head. Times are always better when I'm not here, so like to go to my happy place. Where is my happy place?

Anywhere but here I think, why did my dad have to send me over here? I guess I was destined to meet the people I met. Everything happens for a reason Right? So there's no reason to be sad, but the air is feeling gloomy and it's all I'm inhaling. I can feel my throat clinch as it begs for oxygen instead. The lights start to go black and my breathing slows. This is what I feels like to die.....at least spiritually

*SNAP*

Im with my friend Ty, oh the kind of shit we get into as teens will be the best memories I'll every have, we are watching YouTube and I ask him to play some fire music

He then plays Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus

"Exactly what I was thinking" I say laughing

We danced around to sound of irony at its finest

"You know what we should do?" I say with Rosey cheeks

"What?" Ty replies

"We need to get some girls over!" I scream

"I don't know about that man, I don't want anybody over"

Oh how I miss her. The last time I got to see her I was on a bus with a one way stop to hell, and she was waving bye to me. When I went to my dads for the summer he gave me my phone back and all I could do was text my Goldilocks. She was a busy woman this summer, how could anyone hold down this woman? She'd probably murder them if they tried. From camp to swimming lessons to more camp to chill week, it was hard to slip into her schedule. So we just texted and texted. This was my only chance to see her before she forgot about me on her trips

"Come On mane, I just want to see Lauren", I say while I notice my heart is slipping onto my sleeve

"Fine dude" he finally says

I got her to go to her friends apartment which thankfully was in the same complex. We met up at Serena's where I finally got to get my summer hug. I almost didn't wanna let go. We walked around all day and talked and talked and talked. I felt like we could do it till we passed out from lack of oxygen, I know that feeling too well.

"How about we go back to Ty's? I got a surprise for you!" I say with the biggest smile

As we walk back to his apartment I get Serena to hop on my back to give her a piggy back ride. Me and Serena call each other brother and sister, I met her with McKinlee. Which is a funny story for another time. All 3 of them were in my Pre-AP Science class in 8th grade, they are the smartest girls I will ever met, and that statement is frozen in time. Now to think that they are all women now, blows me away. Forever beautiful

Ty opens his door and the girls sat on the couch. I walk out with a Bath & Body works bag filled with gifts and hand them to Lauren.

"I don't know if you like any of those but I wanted to get you some kind of gift" I say shyly

"Anything from you is perfect thank you" she thankfully replied

Geez. A bullet dodged

We ran the clock till you could hear it wheezing and panting from the extreme exercise. It was way past when the girls were supposed to go home. But I don't think anyone wanted to say goodbye. I know they had to tho

"See you soon hopefully" i try and say

"Maybe you will" she replies with a smile

You sure know how to make a boys knees wobble while he stands in your foot prints from walking away. Can we just replay memories like a dream, it would all be easier.
