"What do you think you are doing?" Baran grabbed the phone from his friend's hand. "Baran..." He was firm. "You won't do anything that could put her in danger, Okhan, do you hear me? That is my wife. If someone is getting her back, it is me..." He circled his position so all the people present could hear him and see in his face how serious he was. "No one will move a finger unless I order you to. No one is doing anything without my knowledge". Pointing his finger at everyone, he added. "If something happens to Dilan because any of you were reckless. I will make you pay. Is that clear?" By the end of the sentence, he was shouting. He didn't care. He didn't have time to think of anyone but Dilan. He felt his uncle would call him. At least, that is what he wanted to believe, and he needed to be away from anyone when that happened. He went to his truck, and as he was going to get in, Cihan and Kerem stopped him. "Where are you going?" Kerem asked. He answered without looking at their faces. "The mansion." He closed the door and left. He had no idea how he managed to drive. Despite his attempts, tears flooded his eyes. It wasn't easy to look at the road. He kept remembering her face as she was taken. He knew what she was telling him. She was saying, 'I'm fine. I trust you will come for me.' And he swore to himself he was going to get her back, even if that meant to help the killer of his mother escape. She would understand. He lost her, and he could not lose Dilan as well. He would not survive that. She became his reason for living. His source of happiness. No, he had to get her back safe and sound. There were no alternatives.

Just before Baran took the road to the mansion, his phone rang. He answered it fast. "Baran!" He dried up his tears and looked at the screen. It was Mr. Hikmet. "Whatever it is, I don't have time to waste. You need to be fast." Baran heard the sound of the wind and crickets. Where was the man? "I followed Hassan's car. I know where Dilan is." Baran hit the brakes, and the truck stopped violently. "Send me the location, and wait for me before you do anything. Do you hear me?" More movement. "Don't worry... Text me as soon as you arrive." The call ended, and seconds later, Baran received the GPS link. It was a place deep in the woods, most certainly a cabin. He considered letting Okhan know for a minute. But he discarded the idea. His friend would have wanted to come along, and things could get complicated. No, he needed to go alone. It was the only way. However, he decided to notify someone else. After sending a text message, Baran turned around and began driving in the direction Mr. Hikmet had sent. "Don't worry, my angel. I'm coming. History won't repeat itself. I won't let him." As he was saying that out loud, another call came in. He accepted it. Silence. This was Hassan; he was certain. "Stop stalling and tell me what you want." He heard his uncle laugh. "My dear nephew, when will you learn that you should be more respectful towards your uncle? I guess your parents didn't teach you right. Oh, wait! You grew up without your parents. Maybe that is why." Baran took a few deep breaths to avoid falling into his game. He needed to make Hassan believe he had Baran under his control so he would not suspect anything. "I want to talk with Dilan?"

Hassan made a disapproving sound with his tongue. "So impatient... If you want to talk to her, you will give me something first. Nothing is free in this world. Mr. Baran. Of course, a spoiled brat like you, used to getting what he wants with a snap of his fingers, would not know that." Baran tightened his grip on the wheel. The blood drained from his knuckles. "Let me guess, you want me to smuggle you out of the country?" He laughed again. "You are not getting rid of me that easily. Now what I need is for you to contact my son, he is not answering my calls. Tell him to be at the address I will send you. I will give you 30 minutes. If Firat is not there, by himself..." He stressed the last word. "Your Dilan will be punished. The time starts running once I finish the call. Tick-tock, nephew." Baran spoke to a turned-off phone. "If you hurt her, I swear..." He stopped the truck for a few seconds to text Mr. Hikmet. "Have you seen any movement?" He resumed driving when the reply came in. "No. The car is still there, and no one has gone in or out." Afterward, he dialed his cousin. "Baran! What happened?" He turned left. "Firat, forget what I told you. Hassan called me. He sent me a location where he wants you to go..." A confused Firat replied. "What? Baran, I'm close to arriving where he has Dilan." Baran interrupted him. "Firat, he threatened me with Dilan... You know him better than me. What do you think he is doing?..." He paused before he answered him. "How far away are you from here?" Baran checked the GPS. "I'm 15 minutes away." Another pause. "What are you thinking, Firat?" He heard his cousin stop his car. "I'm thinking taking Dilan was not a part of his plan... Hikmet... Is he sure they are in that cabin?"
