When they finally went to the next room, the girl returned to the room, closing the door behind her. She leaned her back against them, making the frames creak. Aki shuddered. Her arms were shaking so much that she had to hold them.

(It's bad... Very bad...) She thought, starting to panic.

Her situation was, to put it mildly, bad, she had nowhere to go except her father, she didn't know anyone in this country, and what's worse, she gave all her money to a taxi driver. Her gaze fell on the peaceful face of the sleeping patient.

(Oh yes... there's him... Will he help me? Can I count on him?) Aki bit her lip hesitantly.

Well, she saved him... She started to convince herself again, took a deep breath and approached the unconscious man, sitting on the chair next to his bed. She began to look closely at his face.

"He's handsome..." She said quietly, almost holding her breath. "But can I trust him?" She leaned a little more. "He looks decent... No come back... Someone shot at him, so he's not a good person..." She was leaning towards him so much that she was almost touching the bed. "Although, on the other hand, maybe they shot at him for that reason. That he is such a good person and bothers someone...?" Her eyelids were getting heavier and heavier. She was only sitting at the very end of the chair, with her hands resting on the mattress. "Anyway, when he sleeps like that, he looks like a really nice guy... How soft is this mattress... Maybe even... caaaaaaaring" She yawned hugely and looked around the room with a dull look. "...I like... people like that..." She smiled to herself. After a while, she carefully climbed onto the bed, placed her head on the man's healthy shoulder, placed his one hand on her waist, and hers on his chest.

"Oh, how nice it feels to hug someone" She sighed dreamily. "I guess I'm allowed to dream? Just for a moment.... For a moment..." She said, falling asleep. Fatigue took over. The girl fell into a deep sleep, hugging the unknown man she saved.

It was still dark when Takano regained consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes, lying on a strange bed in a strange room. Seeing the drips connected, he stated that he had been taken to hospital after the shooting. He remembered being shot in the right shoulder, which hurt like hell, but why was the other feeling so dull? He looked down and saw a young girl who, as if nothing had happened, was sleeping on his numb arm. Her head effectively cutting off the blood that should have flowed there. Stranger thing was his shot arm was tenderly wrapped around said girl.

"Well, this can't be helped... Wait..." He narrowed his eyes, looking at the girl and trying to remember. "Was she the one who helped me?" He thought, and after a while he hugged her tighter. "Strange girl..." He thought with a smile on his face, falling asleep again.

Early in the morning, Aki slowly opened her eyes. She raised her head, groggily looking around the room. A strand of hair stuck to the corner of her mouth. Suddenly their eyes met.

"Finally. I thought you wouldn't wake up. My hand is completely numb" Said the patient.

"That's right... I'm sorry..." Aki replied unconsciously.

At the last moment, she hugged the man tightly again and then carefully got down from the bed, sat on a chair, put her head on the bed and fell asleep... Takano looked at her speechless.

"What's this...?" The man's jaw dropped in surprise. After a while. "Pfft! Hahaha! You really are a strange girl...!" He laughed under his breath and gently stroked her head.

Around seven o'clock Aki finally woke up. Stretching, she looked straight into the face of the Japanese man staring at her. Her heart beat faster and her face flushed.

"You woke up? How do you feel? Should I call a doctor?" With wide eyes, she started bombarding him with questions.

"Heh!" The man snorted with laughter. "No, that's not necessary. I feel fine. And, if I remember correctly, it's mainly thanks to you, isn't it?" He asked.

"Somehow I couldn't leave you there..." She said, making a sad face. "I see that you're doing well, I think I should go home..." (What am I saying! Control yourself, girl! What home?!)

Without looking at him, she got up from the chair, but she was grabbed by the hand. She was suddenly filled with uncertainty, maybe she shouldn't put all her hopes on him... Yes, she'll manage somehow. It felt incredibly nice in his arms, but that was all. For now, she have to pretend that she is a super naive woman who helped him only out of the goodness of her heart, and at the first opportunity, run away. You can think about the rest later! She was not good at making decisions in this foreign country. She hoped she would do the right thing this time. After reaching these conclusions, she looked at the man with sad eyes.

"You don't think I'll let you go so easily after all this" The man replied. "My name is Takano, and you?"

(So I'm in trouble... I can't say no to him... He has such a divine gravelly voice... And he's totally my type... Wait... He asked for my name, didn't he?)

"...Aki.."

"Aki... Can you stay here a little longer? Although until someone comes for me...?" Aki had a choice between wandering the streets or sitting comfortably.

(Pretend to be naive... act naive!)

"In fact...." The girl thought for a moment. "I guess I can..."

"Do you know where my things are? There should be a cell phone there. I'd like to call someone"

Aki slid off the chair and looked into the small cabinet next to the bed. It contained a wallet and a phone. The patient's bloody clothes were most likely thrown away for sanitary reasons. She handed the phone to the Japanese, still crouching next to the open cabinet.

"Something else?" She asked.

"NO. Thank you. Will you let me make a call now?" The man asked significantly.

Aki nodded, stood up and left the room without a word. Now she had the perfect chance to escape, she decided to wait and see how this situation would develop. So instead of going straight to the exit, she decided to find the bathroom and freshen up a bit. While walking down the hall, she was spotted by the doctor who had helped them yesterday. He looked at the girl for a moment until she disappeared behind the bathroom door. Today he was one of the doctors doing the visit, so he didn't get to talk to her. At least not in the morning. He smiled predatorily. There's still time.
