How to deal with a runaway girl

Chapter 18

It was already quite dark and Aki was starting to feel sleepy. Reading until late made her eyes close on their own. Right after she put the dictionary on the table, Takano entered the room.

"Are you still awake?" He was surprised, he wasn't surprised to see her again in the room he took her from, so someone must have informed him. "It's late"

"I was reading something and somehow it ended like this" She replied, rubbing her eyes.

"Let's go back, otherwise you'll fall asleep standing here" He stretched out his hand towards the girl. Aki obediently took his hand and allowed herself to be led to their room. She quickly changed into something to sleep on, waiting for the man to get out of the shower. She lay down on the bed and hugged the pillow, fighting the drowsiness that was overwhelming her.

"How could you? And I thought you would wait for me for once!" She heard a resigned voice. She opened her eyes and turned to the direction from which she heard the complaint. Takano stood next to her, wearing only sweatpants. Aki immediately blushed and quickly covered her eyes with a pillow.

"Are you ashamed of me now?" He laughed. "A bit late for that. After all, I always sleep like this next to you..."

"Only now I'm fully conscious and not half asleep..." She mumbled from the pillow. Takano sat down next to her, grabbed her arm and turned her towards him. Embarrassed, Aki looked shyly at the man, and he gently stroked her cheek. He approached her and kissed her tenderly on the lips. The girl, even though it seemed like she couldn't get any redder, turned even redder.

"Can we go to sleep now?" She mumbled uncertainly, looking away.

"Really....? I didn't know you wanted to get straight to the point..." He purred, leaning over the girl again.

"What? NO! That's not what I meant! Tired...! I'm tired!" She explained, confused.

"I know, silly. I'm just teasing you" He laughed, hugging her.

"Asshole!" She cried, trying to free herself from his embrace.

"Yes, I know, I know. I'm a monster. A real beast...!" He added forcefully. "Now let me sleep. It was a hard day" He said, cuddling into her back.

"Beast?"

"Mhmm?"

"I would like to go shopping tomorrow"

"To the city? Do you mean sightseeing? Won't you try to escape from me?"

"You know what...! I want to go shopping, buy a few things..." (I'll never admit to you that I want to buy some sexy underwear...!) She added in her mind, happy that Takano didn't see her blush. (And maybe, if there's a chance, I'll run away... )

"If you promise not to leave Midari for one second..."

"Thank you!" She replied, wrapping her arm around his. After that they both quickly fell asleep.

The next morning, when Aki opened her eyes, Takano was no longer in the room. She stretched languidly, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom to freshen up. Half an hour later, she was ready for what the new day would bring. She and Midari went to the kitchen, where she helped prepare breakfast, humming to herself. After eating the meal, they got into the previously prepared car and drove to the city. After a long time, they managed to park in one of the parking lots. Aki, with a smile on her face, walked between the shops, looking at the displays with curiosity. Aki really didn't want to let it be known that underwear, and sexy underwear at that, was the main purpose of this trip. She really didn't want Midari, and especially Takano, to think that she was a shallow woman.
