How to deal with a runaway girl

Chapter 6

While Aki was sleeping soundly, Midari returned to the room. He explained to the boss what had been agreed with the hospital and then went to buy him new clothes. When Aki opened her eyes, it was already afternoon. She noticed that she was lying next to Takano, which made her heart almost jump out of her throat. Without looking in the man's direction, she got up from the bed and stretched, walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?"

"To the bathroom... And whenever I get a chance, I'll run away!" She said sticking her tongue out at Takano before she turned and left. Once she was in the corridor, she went to the nearest bathroom. As soon as she stepped out, Midari was waiting for her right next to the door. She looked at him with a serious face and then went in the direction she came from. The man followed her step by step. When they reached Takano's room, the girl took a step further, trying to avoid the room. The next second, the Japanese man's hand was on her head, turning her towards the room.

"Oh look.... It's here! I've already forgotten..." She feigned surprise.

Takano, seeing the girl entering with Midari's hand on her head, smiled broadly. The girl entered the room with slight irritation, pushed the man's hand off her head and sat down in a chair.

"How is it going? Was the escape successful?" He asked with a smirk.

"Come on... Midari just couldn't resist petting me as a compliment for a very good escape attempt! You know...?" Her voice became silly and very flirtatious. "Having a bodyguard like that makes you want to run away!" She added, winking at Takano.

"Well, then, I'm happy it looks interesting to you" Replied the patient, scratching his chin. 

"Midari, ask someone to come and change my dressing. I want to get out of here, now" He turned to his subordinate, who nodded and left the room. After a while he came with one of the nurses. As soon as the dressing was changed, the woman left and the tall Japanese man followed her.

"Help me get dressed. New things are in the cabinet" Takano turned to Aki. She hesitated for a moment. She went to the locker, took out his clothes and started unpacking them. She then walked up to the man and slowly put his shirt on. Feeling his eyes on her, she tried to fasten all the buttons without showing nervousness. However, slightly shaking hands didn't help at all. After that, she put pants and socks on him and then helped him put on his shoes. While performing these activities, she tried not to show any emotions. However, she felt her face getting hotter by the minute.

It was all very awkward and she was even a little ashamed that she had to do it... Well... it wasn't like that... In fact, it was the man's well-built body that made her still unable to tear her eyes away from him. Suddenly Takano grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes. Seeing Aki's flushed face and shiny brown eyes, the man felt an irresistible temptation to kiss her. He brought his lips to hers and their lips were about to touch when suddenly Aki quickly covered his mouth with her hand. She moved away from the bed and stopped just next to the door.

"Stop making fun of me!" She said with a shaky voice.

"Except.. I'm not joking..." He replied confidently, getting up from the bed and walking towards her.

Aki turned and looked into his eyes. He became serious when he saw the girl's scared face. He stretched out his arms to her and hugged her tenderly.

"Do not be afraid. I won't do anything bad to you. Now let's go. Midari should be waiting in the car" He said, taking her hand. (It all depends on what he thinks is wrong...) she thought as they left the room and headed towards the exit. The girl walked behind Takano, staring at the ground. She was afraid of what might happen to her. But on the other hand, she helped him. I guess she could have expected that the man wouldn't hurt her... Right? After a while, they were sitting in the car, driving in a direction unknown to Aki. After about half an hour, they pulled into the driveway of one of the more impressive mansions.

 Aki got out right behind Takano, looked around and nodded in admiration. However, as soon as the men moved towards the building, the girl turned on her heel and headed in the direction they came from. Of course, her nonchalant attempt to escape was quickly stopped by Midari... His iron fingers closed on Aki's head like the teeth of a bear trap. The girl snorted with dissatisfaction and then, adopting a dispassionate expression, looked towards Takano, nodding in admiration.

"He's good..."

"The best..." Takano seemed surprised by the girl's stubbornness. "Well, now that you're done playing, come on" He said as he entered the house.

There was a surprise waiting for the girl inside, a group of men greeted Takano with bows. She already expected that he was someone important and would have subordinates... She just didn't expect that there would be so many. The specter of freedom was getting further and further away... One by one, the men began to report various matters to their boss, in japanese, of course and Aki stood there, feeling very awkward. Takano turned his head towards Midari, looking very pointedly at Aki, signaling to the tall Japanese to take the girl somewhere else. The man nodded, took Aki's hand and walked with her to one of the rooms. The girl looked around and noticed that it was already inhabited, as personal items were visible on the furniture.

"Whose bedroom did we invade?" She looked at Midari questioningly, hoping to hear some explanation.

"Boss's room. You will live here now" He said briefly. "Don't run away" He added, leaving the room.

Aki stood frozen, looking towards the door.

"B-boss's room...?" She asked shrilly, of course no one heard her so she didn't get another confirmation. She was petrified, her eyes fixed on the bed against the wall. She took a deep breath.

"No, no... Let's not jump to conclusions..." She continued to say to herself in a high-pitched voice. She approached the window hesitantly. The room was on the first floor. It wasn't too far to the ground, so if anything happens she could try to escape this way. If someone wanted to hurt her, this would be a pretty good escape route. "Better safe than sorry..." She added, nodding and opening the window. A little calmer, she started looking around. There was a separate bathroom in the room, which Aki used with overwhelming relief. Standing at the sink, she washed her face and looked in the mirror.

"Aki, you're in a bad position" She said in an urgent tone, looking into each other's eyes. "The guy may be your type, but..." Aki blushed in the mirror. "Eh... Do you like him that much? Do you want to take risks? Are you sure?"  Aki looked uncertain in her reflection, but after a moment of hesitation, she shrugged and nodded. "It's his fault... Why does he hug me all the time... It's not fair..." The girl splashed her face with cold water. She needs to focus. It would be best if she got closer to Takano... Just to lull his guard! Not because she started to feel something against him...

Aki stole a glance at the girl in the mirror. Her reflection was blushing up to her ears... While leaving the bathroom, she almost bumped into the main culprit of her dilemma. Takano.

"Aki! This is where you hide. And I thought you had already escaped" He said with a smile, pointing to the open window.

"Don't worry... I have time. I'll try again" She replied, passing him in the doorway, trying to stay calm.

The man grabbed her hand and pulled her along. Sitting on the bed, he placed the girl on his lap. Aki went numb, staring at the man with wide eyes. And he just smiled at her tenderly and hugged her to him. The girl froze.
