"I wanted her and she wanted me, it was as simple as that, but reality just had to hold us back."

"So did you two talk?" Sawyer asked me once I was settled in my living room after taking a much needed shower and getting ready for my date with Harmony.

"Yes." I answered, ignoring his continuous stare as he waited for me to elaborate but I didn't say anything, much to his disappointment.

"And?" He asked impatiently, leaning on the edge of his seat as I threw a casual glance at him.

"We're fine." I said and he nodded.

"So where are you headed dressed like that?" He asked again when I blew out an annoyed breath.

"When are you leaving again?" I asked and his face dropped into a scowl.

"I'll leave, don't you worry, but Harmony will never forgive you for kicking me out." He snapped at me haughtily when I huffed out an amused laugh.

"Are we forgetting whose girlfriend she is, brother?" I raised a brow when he pursed his lips.

"Yeah, she's my girl-friend. Because she's a girl, and my friend, get it?" He grinned at me but I only rolled my eyes at him.

"Where is she anyway?" He looked around, "I'm going to her because she's better company and actually values me."

I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him right back onto his seat when he yelped.

"She's getting ready." I answered when he frowned.

"For what?"

"Your funeral." I deadpanned and he snorted.

"As if, she loves me, Sebby, and you know what?" He leaned towards me with that mischievous glint in his eye I knew would lead to me beating the shit out of him when his mouth opened, "She doesn't love you."

And just like that, I was chasing my brother through the house with a cushion from the couch in my hand while he was screaming like a fucking goat and running away from me.

"Oh my god, boys!" We heard the familiar voice just as I grabbed onto Sawyer's collar, the sound of clicking heels heading towards us when Sawyer tripped and fell, taking me down with him.

"Bastian!" I heard her small gasp as she ran towards us and helped Sawyer off me sat on the floor next to me just as I sat up and her hands settled on my shoulders.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" She asked me, running her gentle hands down my arms and taking my hands in hers before examining them.

"Yeah, I'm okay, no need to worry about me." Sawyer spoke from somewhere as I got up and held Harmony next to me when she looked at Sawyer sprawled like a starfish on the floor.
