~Santiago's POV~
Xiomara moves through the crowd easily, pulling me close behind her. I watch as her hips sway the slightest as she walks, her long black hair moving with it. she was like a walking goddess, and I wasn't the only on to think that. The blue lit room contrasted with her featues, her eyes followed the trail that led towards the front door
"wait here" she says to me
Watching her walk through the crowd to her oldest brother she says something to me then points in my direction making Xavier look up at me he nods and I nod back. She smiles and gives her brother and kiss and waves to the rest of her brothers. Making her way over to me again she took my hand
We made it out of the crowded room, the cold breeze hitting our skin. I watch Xiomara shiver as we walk down the steps. I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. I looked up at me and smiled as she took in the moment
"thank you" she said
I nod at her in response and lead her towards my car. Opening my car, I opened the door for her and helped her get into my jeep. I shut the door once she was in I walked over to my side and got in. after starting the car, I drove away heading straight towards her house
"can I ask you something?" she asked
I glance at her and nod. I heard her inhale and then speak
"what happened to Michael?"
I bit on my lip as I turn a corner and took in the question, is there anything she doesn't know.
"the truth?" I ask her
"please" she says sucking in a breath
"dead"
I felt her stiffen completely and she turned in her seat to face me
"Santiago you cant just go around killing every honkey dory like Michael" I could hear the concern and pain in her voice
"in your life" I finished my sentence I thought it was cute that she always tries to make me do what was right she sighed in relief and sat back in her chair
"I gave him a good scare, I don't think he will ever bother you again" I said
I wasn't used to being carful with what I say around people, I just didn't care and never would. But now its different. Because of her, and it would only be around her that I would be careful. She's innocent and delicate, I cant corrupt her.
And it seemed that I began to feel when I was around her, the non-existent emotions in my body seemed to jolt up at the mere sound of her name. I turn to her as we stop at a red light, her eyes were focused on her hands as she played with her bracelet around her wrist. I licked my lips and tilted my head back, closing my eyes
"Xiomara"
I could feel her eyes on me
"please don't be scared" I tell her
I place my hand on her cheeks and she leans into my touch
"did you mean it?" she asks suddenly
I raise an eyebrow at her. She frowns, her glowing features brighten
"that you would want to be more than friends?" she asks
I stare at her deeply, watchin the emotins flow through her eyes knowing mine were set on showing nothing
"yes" I answer
She nods and smiles
"okay" she whispers
