"You bet we planned this from the beginning." Lucy said. If you ask me, it sounds like they're trying to get rid of us. I shrugged at that thought. I walked around Levy and went to stand next to Frub when yet another figure appeared in the doorway. This time, it was Mila. She looked confused.
"I saw Frub leave the house with packed suitcases." She said in a weak tone. Everyone stared at her with guilty looks on their faces, did they not tell her? My entire world just stopped right then and there. I was going to leave for two months and two weeks yet nobody bothered to inform my sister?!
"I would explain what's going on but I didn't even know about this myself until now." I tried to explain. She looked betrayed and sad, I can't leave now with her looking like this. I walked over to reassure her but she put her hand up as if she wanted me to stop in my tracks. I did as the hand gesture told me to do.
"There's no need for an explanation."
"But-'
"Don't worry, I was already informed." She said, completely changing the mood in the room. She looked up with a smile on her face.
"Oh come on, can't anyone take a joke?" She questioned. There was a long pause before everyone began to laugh. They were laughing and pointing at me. I looked away and blushed. Why am I so gullible? I hated how gullible I was, I've been this way ever since I was young. Urgh...I hated it so much! I balled my hands into fists as anger pulsed through my body. Did I mention that I have a small anger problem? I looked back up and stormed out of the guild hall with tears rolling down my face. I just wanted to go home, I wanted to be on my soft bed with my teddy bear. I made it to the house, ran through the front door, ran up the stairs into my room and jumped onto my bed. My teddy bear was as soft as ever as I pulled it into my arms. Tears burned hot on my face as I cried even more. I wish Nami were here, she'd know what to do to.
I heard footsteps coming up the the stairs a few minutes after my meltdown on my bed. I felt the pressure on the bed as someone sat down next to me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm okay. I'm just a little tired." I told Frub. I turned around so I could look into his eyes. I wanted him to know how I felt right now. I released my grip on the teddy bear and set it back down next to my pillow. I sat up slowly and reached for his hand. He read my movements and quickly grabbed my hand. Our fingers interlocked as we stared at each other.
"I'll always be here for you."
"I know."
"Let's go do something fun before we leave." He suggested. I nodded in agreement and then kissed his cheek. We got up off the bed, still hand in hand, and began our day journey.
**After a long and fun day**
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe you shut down a ride because of your motion sickness." Frub said excitedly. My arm was slung over his shoulder while I was holding cotton candy in the other hand. I was having trouble walking thanks to my weak body after getting out of a very fast moving vehicle. It's not the best idea to ride on a roller coaster that goes 50 mph and you have motion sickness, trust me. My knees were wobbly and my stomach was turning in circles, my head was spinning, and my vision was blurred. I couldn't wait to lay down for a short nap.
"I'm feeling a little better Frub, I can walk on my own now." I said, not trying to sound like I'm pushing him away. To make sure I didn't sound like that, I added a grin after I said it. He took his two hands and wrapped them around my forearm, and gently removed it from atop his shoulder. I stretched my arm out and soon relaxed it by my side. My cotton candy fell out of my hand but thanks to Frub, the delicious treat never touched the ground. I offered him a bite but he refused. I insisted that he take a bite.
"No really, I'm fine."
"Well more for me." I shrugged. I finished the big ball of pink fuzz only to notice a sticky mess on my face. My eyes widened and my face became a burning red. I got mad and destroyed the paper cone that held the cotton candy in place. Frub was staring at me with wide eyes that made my face flush. My feet shuffled before I began to rapidly walk back to the house.
"Let's get back to the house." I stammered. He just kept staring at me with this surprised look on his face and these wide eyes. His face was like that for a few moments before a smile replaced his surprised expression. His cheeks began to redden.
"Ok, let's go."
A cold chill greeted us as the mansion door opened with a slow creek. Our bags were neatly stacked by the old fashioned loveseat that reflected the light of the lamp. Mila was sitting on one of the soft cushions of the the loveseat. She had an open book resting on her lap and her eyes were closed. I wonder how long she's been asleep.
"We should probably wake her up before we leave." I looked down at my watch. It was half past five and our train leaves at six. I looked back up from my watch and looked at Mila. She looked so peaceful and calm, maybe we shouldn't wake her. I was too late as always, Frub was already sitting next to her and waking her up. Well, it's too late. I walked over and joined the two. I sat down on the armrest as Mila slowly opened her eyes and yawned. She lifted her hands and rubbed her eyes.
"How long have I been asleep?" She asked with another yawn. She stretched her arms out and looked at the both of us. I shook my head and wrapped my arms around her shoulders.
"We have to leave now." I whispered into her ear. I pulled away and looked at Frub. I nodded towards him, signaling for us to to leave.
"Okay." He said in response to my signal. I kissed Mila's cheek and got up from my position on the armrest. We grabbed our suitcases and headed towards the door.
"Have fun you two." Mila said with a snicker. Frub and I just laughed and walked out the door.
We left with hope that we would make it back safely.
