The Battle Ends

The arena was a ruckus as the 14 warriors charged at Siren. She seemed to have a grim look on her face. Except, it was more like an 'I don't care about anything' kind of look. I couldn't really tell what was going on but I promised I would help them fight. My feet cracked the ground as I leaped into the midst of the chaos. I wasn't thinking straight, I hadn't noticed the almost deadly spell she was ready to cast.

"Don't go any further!" Mila shouted a warning. By the time I finally understood what was happening, it was far too late. A dark aura filled the arena as Siren cast her spell.
There was a loud bang as smoke filled the arena. The characters began disappearing one by one as they were critically hit. The last one to go was Kaneki. I couldn't see anything, my  stomach was hurting again as well as my back, and my eyes were slowly beginning to close.
I could hear the bell ringing, indicating the end of the match. I had lost. I let my guild down. I couldn't move a muscle, my eyes wouldn't open. I felt multiple hands pick me up and carry me off somewhere, hopefully a bed.
When I finally came to, I was in the infirmary. The bed I was on felt strange against my pained back. I had to sit up but I was still unable to move. My eyes slowly opened and the bright lights almost blinded me. I squinted to make out the blurry figures that were surrounding me.
"I-I failed." I cried. Tears streamed down the sides of my forehead as the end of the battle constantly replayed in my head. The way I lost was an embarrassment to the guild. No. An embarrassment to the entire world. At least it felt like that to me.
I regained my focus and noticed my team standing around my bed.
"You may have failed but at least you tried your best and fought for the guild." Max said. I turned my head away from them in embarrassment.
"You guys should probably get back out there, it sounds like they're about to pick the next match." I said. I tried urging them out for a couple minutes until they finally left. The door slammed shut and I could move again. I quickly got out of the bed and changed into my original clothing.
The door creaked back open as I snuck out. My team was still walking in the hallway so I had to be quiet and not move too fast or Mila would catch my scent. I stared towards the exit that would soon lead to yet another adventure.
My brain was scrambling for second thoughts but none could be found. I had decided to leave and never return, I would even remove my guild mark myself. No matter how painful it would be, I was leaving. Nothing was going to stop me now.
I walked slowly away from the group. Hopefully they'll be able to gain a fifth member, otherwise they don't stand a chance. Frub is only on the team because I was there too. The same goes for Mila, she's never really fought before. One thing is for sure, she doesn't stand a chance against those Liberam guys.
I am going to become stronger no matter what. So that one day I'll be able to defeat the ones who made me look like a fool in front of my guild. The light at the end of the hall grew closer and closer as I walked towards it.
My footsteps echoed so loudly that I was eventually caught by the others.
"Where you going Nalu?" Frub asked. I had turned so that my right side was facing them. I kept looking at the ground so that my bangs covered my eyes. I was frowning. Frowning because I knew they weren't gonna want to hear the truth. So I was unable to tell them.
I kept walking without a word coming out of my mouth. I raised my hand high into the air, my thumb and pointer finger pointing outwards. That's the so called Fairy Tail hand sign. There may be miles between us but no matter how far away you are, I will always be watching over you. That's what the sign means.
I then waved a final goodbye to the team and walked into the sunlight. The light was shining so bright, showing a new path that I must take.
Before I follow that path, there is a certain someone that I need to scope out. I honestly don't know why I need to see this person but I just have a hunch that they'll have an answer for me. An answer.
I sniffed him out like I normally do when I'm trying to find someone. He's in the arena?! No, only a part of him was in the arena. I could tell because the scent was heading in two different directions. Towards the aren and into the forest. The weakest scent was in the arena so I followed the one heading into the forest.
If I was making the right choice or not, I didn't know. I wasn't even completely sure why I was leaving. My head was hurting from just thinking about it. I continued to think as I approached the forest. The tall trees towered high above me like giants crashing high from the clouds.
The stone path lead deep into the dark and mysterious forest. I took one more step and I was gone. Gone for a very long time.

**a few minutes later**

"Are you sure you want to help me?" A mysterious voice asked.
"I'm sure."
