Sad to say that Kaneki won't remember me for he is suffering from amnesia because he lost a battle and he is now serving as a ghoul investigator rather than a ghoul. Let's just say that he was stabbed in the head from behind and straight through his ghoul eye. Twice.
Something that's even more sad than that is his best friend had died right before that. Hideyoshi Nagachika. That was his friends' name. No matter how hard it was, Hide always kept Kaneki's identity as a ghoul from everyone else. Even Kaneki himself.
Hide finally revealed (to Kaneki) that he knew about him since the very beginning. A few words later, he had died. The reason I'm going to this world is simple, to restore Kaneki's memories. I'm going to gather all of Kaneki's old friends so they can help with the process. Only they can complete his memories. A portal opened in front of me. I stepped through and said my goodbyes to this world for I won't be returning until three years from now. That is the year when the Tenrou team returns from their seven year imprisonment on Tenrou island. Three years in this world is equivalent to three months in Tokyo Ghoul. So, I have exactly three months to have all of Kaneki's friends gathered and his memories returned. I promised Lord Zeref that I would master my power for the sake of his little brother.
Now, off I go into the world of ghouls. I hope I survive.
When I came out of the portal, I was in a bustling city full of people running errands or just having fun. I looked over at a couple that were being a little touchy with each other. Pft. Get a room.
The portal disappeared without anyone even knowing it was there. My nose isn't going to work because Kaneki's scent has changed. Plan B. Find Touka. She works at a coffee shop called :re. Luckily her scent hasn't changed. I've talked to her a few times back then but my appearance has changed so she might not even recognize me. Oh well.
I teleported myself over to :re where people were just drinking coffee and having fun. I saw a strange man in an oversize coat sitting at one of the tables. Three people were accompanying him.
His hair was brown at the roots and was white as it spread through to the ends of his short hair. He was giving off a strange aroma as I walked in. The smell was just really weird. I can't even explain it. One thing is for sure, it wasn't the scent of a human or ghoul. That must be Haise Sasaki. Kaneki's new personality.
"Welcome to :re!" Someone shouted from across the shop. It was Touka. She had pretty purple hair that she cut. The ends are up to her ears now. She wasn't wearing a uniform. Instead, she was wearing a button down shirt and a pair of shorts. She was carrying a platter with two tea cups helplessly balancing on their little plates that were placed underneath them.
I found an empty table that was close to Sasaki's. I wonder who the others are. I racked my brain for Sasaki's relationships in this new state he's in.
Before I could find an answer, Touka came up to the table I sat down at and asked what I would like to order.
"I would like a cup of black coffee please. Oh and a piece of paper?" I asked her. She nodded and was back in just a few moments with a cup full of a dark liquid. The piece of paper I asked for was in her other hand along with a pen. I nodded a thank you and began writing on the paper.
"Meet me at what used to be Anteiku at 5 o' clock. There's something we need to discuss."
I quickly drank my coffee and left my payment plus a tip. The paper was neatly folded and blended in with the money. The first step to my plan. Now I must find Kaneki's number one fan, Shuu Tsukyama. The creepy French ghoul. I never really enjoyed being around him.
I quickly found Tsukyama and found a way to slip a note into his possession. The note read the exact same thing as the last one I wrote. Now for Nishiki, Ayato, and Hinami.
This is going to be a long day. Worst of all, I have to go through three months of trying to get these guys to actually help me out. What has my life come to?
It wasn't too hard to find all three. I just simply left a note and arrived at the destination that was written on all three notes. Everyone was already there. This is going to be fun.
"Glad you all could make it." I told them as I walked into the middle of the slight circle that was formed.
"Who are you?" Ayato asked.
"I am none other than Nalu Percy." I replied. They were all shocked for I hadn't just talked to Touka but I had talked to everyone before.
"Been a while Nalu. What are you doing here at a time like this?" Are you even aware of the state that Kaneki i--" Nishiki began to ask before I politely interrupted.
"I am well aware of his situation, Nishiki." I told the group. Tsukyama seemed to be absolutely disgusted about the topic. When he heard about Kaneki's "death," he died on the inside. He couldn't accept that Kaneki was dead. I was about to break the truth to all of them.
"Then why are you here?" Touka asked.
"I've come here on a mission and I come bearing good news." I told them. They were eager to hear this good news. How should I tell them?
"The good news is, Kaneki is alive and not dead," I began, "but his memories have been completely wiped." They seemed to be kind of calm about the news. Hinami was very excited and so was Tsukyama. Touka and Ayato were just kind of chilled and laid back.
"So, what's your mission?" Hinami asked. I can't believe how much she's grown. She used to be so tiny and now she's 16 as well as a part of Aogiri Tree(ghoul organization).
"I've discovered a new power that can restore memories but I haven't mastered it yet. Kaneki is my guinea pig but I need you guys to be there when I do restore his memories." I replied to Hinami.
