After talking to Jungkook, Taehyung turned to y/n, his expression serious but gentle. "Princess, go back to your apartment and stay with Saanvi," he said, his voice steady. "We're heading to the company, and then we'll figure out what to do about this situation."
He walked over to the coat rack, grabbing his jacket and car keys with swift, determined movements. As he started to head out the door, he suddenly stopped, a thought flashing across his mind. Turning back, he saw y/n watching him with concern.
"One more thing," he added, his eyes meeting hers. "Stay off social media for a while. Don't check it. Things might get messy online, and I don't want you to get caught up in that. Remember, I'm always here for you."
Y/n felt a warmth spread through her at his words. Despite the turmoil, his support was unwavering. She managed a small smile, trying to reassure him. "I'm okay, Tae. You go handle things."
Taehyung gave her a lingering look as if making sure she was really alright. Then, with a nod, he headed out, his footsteps echoing in the hallway. The door closed behind him, leaving Y/n standing there, feeling a mixture of worry and comfort. She took a deep breath, grateful for Taehyung's care, and decided to focus on the here and now, taking things one step at a time.
Once they reached the company, Taehyung and Jungkook quickly made their way to the manager's office. The atmosphere was tense as they discussed the best course of action regarding the situation.
Meanwhile, despite Taehyung's advice, y/n found herself unable to resist the pull of social media. Sitting on the couch with Saanvi, she scrolled through endless comments. Each post was a mix of harsh criticisms, cruel insults, and outright lies. Some people were demanding personal information, and trying to track down their social media accounts. Fortunately, their profiles remained undiscovered for now.
As y/n and Saanvi read through the messages, they felt a mix of emotions. Sadness crept in with each hateful comment, especially those that twisted the truth and hurled offensive language. Saanvi sighed, shaking her head. "People can be so harsh," she muttered, her eyes narrowing at the screen.
Y/n nodded, her fingers trembling slightly as she continued to scroll. "Yeah, it's like they don't even see us as real people," she replied softly. They shared a moment of silent understanding, both feeling the weight of the virtual assault.
Yet, amidst the negativity, a flicker of resilience burned within them. They had anticipated this kind of backlash and had tried to mentally prepare themselves. "Remember what we talked about?" Saanvi said, her tone more determined. "We knew this might happen. We just have to stay strong."
Y/n took a deep breath, nodding in agreement. "You're right. We knew it wouldn't be easy. But we're not alone in this."
Their resolve was bolstered by the knowledge that their loved ones stood by them, offering unwavering support and understanding. This solidarity gave them the strength to endure the online storm. Despite the barrage of negativity, they clung to the belief that this, too, shall pass, and they would emerge stronger on the other side.
Two hours later, y/n's phone rang. It was Taehyung calling from the company. "Y/n, bring Saanvi and come to the company. Make sure you're both well-prepared-we need to hold a press conference."
As soon as the call ended, y/n noticed a flood of notifications on her social media. Saanvi checked her phone too, realizing that people had found their accounts. The comments were filled with threats, insults, and mocking remarks.
"Leave it, Cherry. Let's get ready," Saanvi said, taking y/n's phone from her hands. "The car should be here soon to pick us up."
Y/n nodded, feeling a mix of anxiety and determination. They both knew the importance of presenting a strong front at the press conference. Despite the digital assault, they needed to face the public with confidence and clarity.
