Do you think we imagined ourselves being the way that we are?
Covered in pearls, dancing on stage, glossed with body shimmer to catch any male's attention?
Our parents just wanted to marry us off. Stay out of debt. Wanted us trained like dogs to obtain the perfect RICH man.
In Rebelle House? Sure, we learned how to do that but we also had to endure so much more.
Where is this leading? Take a seat. Enjoy the show...and welcome to Rebelle House.
Lori, Capri and Lilac stuff their feet into Gogo like boots with black bows stitched on the back as they apply more shimmer on their bodies.
"Juniper is pissing me off these past few days. All she talks about is Ronan this and Ronan that. We know he has a big dick but chill," Capri says now sitting adding lipstick to her plump lips.
Lacing up her corset, Lori shrugs, "It's actually average sized, nothing special."
Lilac laughs, "And how would you know that Sunflower?"
I ignore the three and just head to the bathroom, closing the door, turning the faucet on and leaning on the counter with my eyes closed.
A short ritual I made while being in the Rebelle House. Before every performance, I try to picture myself in the most calming place I can think of. Far away from my family, Juniper, the girls. Just me and the sound of waves crashing over rocks, birds chirping, the smell of—my meditation is cut short when one of Juniper's men, Kolin, bangs on the door to let me know we're on in five minutes.
Turning back around facing the faucet and bathroom mirror, I take a small clear baggie out of my bra and take the white powder and sniff it then cleaning the residue with a tissue paper.
I turned the water off, pushed my hair back and unlocked the door to see Kolin leaning against the wall with his tattooed muscled arms across his chest.
"Getting the edge off? You know I could always help," He eyes my body like a kid in a candy shop, drooling over his favorite piece of candy, wanting to devour it and by it I mean me.
Brushing him off, I meet the girls backstage already hearing people chatter, "What's the count for tonight?" I ask while fixing my brasserie.
Lilac looks through a small opening in the curtain, "Looks about eighty, give or take," Capri scoffs, "Not the geezers again," Lori laughs, "Sugar daddies are in now," I just get in position and music starts to play and the curtains lift up.
We do our routine dance with Juniper watching in one of the heart shaped booths there sipping a dry martini.
Five minutes into the dance a fight breaks out near the bar with four men and three other men.
"That's why you hit like a bitch," One says as the other holds him back telling him to calm down.
Lori gets distracted but keeps dancing while Capri and Lilac start to take notice too.
The one that spoke wipes his busted lip then looks up catching me glancing where he was.
"Let go, I'm fine," He says, then slaps crumbled up dollars on the bar counter top.
Watching, I see Ronan walk in as they pass him on the way out and he looks to where I am even though Juniper waves him over to sit with her.
"Darling," Ronan kisses her cheek but keeps his eyes on me then sits trying to make it sound like he's interested in the conversation she was trying to start with him.
"And then–" She follows his gaze and then nods licking her cherry stained lips annoyed, "Just fuck her why don't you?" Ronan snaps his gaze back on her and touches her face manipulating the fuck out of her, making sure she didn't get in a pissy mood.
The song ends and the curtains fall closing out the show and Capri grabs the bottle of champagne in an ice bucket near the dressing rooms, "I'll meet you guys out there in a bit. I spotted a suitor I like from the crowd," Popping the lid, she takes a few sips and Lori joins while Lilac goes to the bathroom.
"I'm going outside for some air before I find mine," I say lying just wanting not to bump into Juniper after her and Ronan got into it a little bit.
Heading out the back exit, I sigh, having my breath show in the air as it's cold out.
To warm up more and to get through the Juniper shit storm that's going to happen once we get back to the house, I get the clear baggie with the white powder out until I hear a motorcycle revving up.
Stuffing it back I look to where the noise comes from to see the man from earlier who got into the bar fight looking to where I was knowing what I was about to do.
A few seconds later Capri burst through the back door with the bottle of champagne already feeling tipsy, "Ayla! Juniper wants us heading back to the house," Giggling, Lori grabs the bottle from behind her.
"Y-Yeah," I turn back but see the guy drive off with the other three on motorcycles as well.
Waiting by the front door, Juniper is wrapped around Ronan and before I could go past the both of them, she grabs onto my wrist digging her french manicured nail into it, "You'll be staying out the house tonight. Find somewhere else to go," Releasing it, she kisses Ronan while squeezing his arm before getting in the car.
Nodding, sniffling from the powder I have snorted earlier, I look at Ronan pissed.
"You can't control your damn eyes? You know she gets so damn territorial."
Ronan waits until Juniper taps on the driver's seat to take off to the main Rebelle House leaving me and him alone out on the sidewalk.
"You know I can't help how I feel about you," Reaching to touch my face I turn.
Looking to the side then him, I say, "What happened with us was once. Once. I was a fucking immature little girl wanting someone she could trust and you manipulated me to do just that and more."
Getting ready to say something, I go back inside and written right above the heart like tunnel entrance was enter at your own risk.
