I didn't know what to say other than, "Just say what's on your mind. This silence is killing me," Aero then looks to the side as I'm in the passenger seat as I discharge myself from the hospital.
"You told the guys you wanted me to pick you up so we can talk. Talk."
Leaning back more into the seat, I say, "I was a bitch to you about Capri. If you wanted to fuck her—" Aero now looks to me from the side again.
I continued even though his glare was throwing me off a little.
"If you did or still want to, it's none of my business. You're a grown man. We're adults and this whole pregnancy thing—"
Now pulling over to the side of the road not even close to the house but in the middle of nowhere, he turns the car off now giving me his full attention.
"What's been on my mind is the fact Chad said it could be Ronan's. When did that even happen? Why did it happen?"
I explain it and even the part of me deciding to do it high and barely conscious that his jaw tightens with frustration.
"That's rape Ayla. So he raped you. Was he the last to? I mean shit he had to if you feel it's absolutely his."
Slowly nodding, I feel sicker than I have this whole time admitting to the situation again and again and again.
"Fuck. I'm sorry."
I look at him all cut up, bruised, bandaged now feeling tears start to cascade down my face.
"I...I need you to..." I feel myself trembling until he holds me in his arms, "It's okay you don't have to say anything," He says rubbing my back.
Nestling more into his chest, he keeps caressing me until I calmed down.
Moving away, I wiped my eyes sniffling.
"I'm sorry, it must be the hormones," I say blaming my emotional distress on being pregnant.
Starting the car again, he nods, "Let's get you back to the house," Now driving back I see everyone chilling outside almost like a welcome back party minus the banner and balloons.
Aero parks then helps me out as I'm still trying to regain strength.
Will comes over to help and so does Chad as Paul watches with Daniel in the lawn chairs.
"How are you feeling?" Will asks me.
I nod, "I'm fine. Thanks."
Chad gives me a soft smile, "Still a kickass warrior in my book."
Chuckling, I roll my eyes slightly, "Whatever," Daniel waves while Paul gives me a head nod.
Returning the gestures, I get helped into Will's room.
"She could stay with me. Bigger bed," Aero says as Chad helps me into Will's.
Will shook his head, "She's fine here."
Aero was going to argue but raises his hands up letting Chad and Will get me comfortable while taking a look at me all cut up, bandaged, overall a mess.
"Hungry?" Chad asks while sitting on the bed beside me.
For once I was actually feigning for a burger with curly fries and bloomin onion's.
"Yeah actually, I am," I tell them while saying what I wanted.
Will goes while Chad keeps me company with Aero in the background standing by the door entrance.
"I'm really fine," I tell them, not used to having people being so attentive towards me.
Chad looks back to Aero, "I don't know why he's having so many mood swings, but I'm here because I want to be here," He now looks to me holding my hand.
Laughing low, I look at Aero, "Really, go, take Chad with you too."
Respecting what I wanted, he has Chad go downstairs with him going over into the kitchen as Paul is cleaning up with Daniel's help.
As they are, they find an old note from their dad having Daniel freeze up a bit.
Don't forget you guys are brothers. Whatever happens, blood is thicker than water
- Pops
Paul looks to see the old wrinkled up paper, "I remember that. He wrote it when Will and I had that stupid fight. What was it about?"
Daniel is now shutting down, right there in front of everyone, putting the note back.
"You used his bike without asking...Pops had to fix yours because something was wrong with the fuel tank."
Aero intervenes, sitting Chad down at one of the bar stools," Wouldn't talk to each other for a week."
Daniel now leaves going up to his room while Paul sighs, "He might be a legal adult now but he still has a mindset of a teenager."
Chad feels bad for him saying, "Losing someone, especially a parent is hard to get over."
Both Jorn's look at Chad makes him say, "I lost mine when I was nineteen. So, I know what Daniel might be feeling even if he's a kid or not."
"We all know how it feels. It wasn't just Pops we had taken. Our mom died too. Not recent, but you get it," Paul says now going into the fridge getting a beer off the top shelf, "Daniel never met mom. She died a few months after giving birth to him. That's why Pops was super close with Danny."
Chad nods, "Sorry to hear that," Looking to his hands, Paul now asks, "How about Ayla's parents? Where are they? They can't still believe this bullshit Juniper cooked up to even get her and the rest of the girls to that fake Playboy sex torture house," Clearing his throat, Chad shook his head, "That's something Ayla would have to tell you guys. I don't think I should tell her personal shit," Making eye contact with Paul then Aero, they both nod letting the subject die out into other manly topics.
Will now comes back with the food taking it upstairs to make sure it didn't get cold.
"What about the conversation you had with her? Did it go anywhere?"
Paul asks Aero quietly so Chad couldn't hear making it private.
Leaning on the counter, Aero shrugs, "We did. I listened."
Waiting for more, Paul slaps Aero's arm, "And? What is she going to do? Keep the baby? Run off with Will? Pick you?"
Aero sighs, "It's still complicated and I don't know but I don't think she should," Aero admits as he knows the backstory to why it would be a bad idea if the baby was to be kept.
Not knowing anything, Paul looks to his brother confused, "Because it could be Will's?"
Shaking his head, he says, "Like I said, complicated."
