Sneaking out and making my way to a diner after taking a few dollars from Aero's jeans, I ordered a milkshake and a piece of pie.

Only having a few more bucks left over since I didn't get the wad of cash from my regular, I leave a dollar tip then make my way to a payphone.

Putting the coins in, I put in a number knowing they'll be reliable to pick me up.

"Yeah, sorry, didn't think the night would end with me being left in the cold," I jokingly say but feel the cold air nipping at my exposed skin.

The person says it's okay and drives out ten minutes after handing me a coat once I got into their car.

"Did you lock up?" I say hugging myself in their wool coat.

Chad nods, "Yeah, did you eat?"

I nod while rubbing my hands together, "Had pie and a milkshake," Smiling low I breathed into my hands to warm them up more.

Leaning over to turn the heat up, he starts driving and instead of taking me back to the club, he takes me to his place where I've stayed a few times when it was too cold to go anywhere else.

"You don't have to keep taking me in," I say as he parks then looks at me, "If you do, people will make up rumors."

Chad shrugs, "Let them talk, I rather have you alive then frozen to death, that's what friends are for."

I smiled, "Yeah, the only one who puts up with my trauma filled ass," Walking into his apartment, I plop on the sofa while he tosses his keys on the counter and starts making something.

"I told you I ate," I took his coat off and placed it on the arm of the sofa.

Shaking his head he gets out a pan putting it on the stove getting stuff to cook, "Pie and a milkshake won't be enough," Being a chef I know he could actually be instead of a bartender, I bite on my nail then start shaking my leg as I hadn't have my pick me up in the past few hours.

"Can I use the bathroom?" I say but he puts up a one minute gesture as he goes into his room then comes back with warmer clothes than what I had on.

"So you don't get sick," He hands me it and I smile, thanking him.

Walking to his room and turning to his bathroom, I closed the door then locked it holding onto the sink turning the faucet on.

I need to get some more before I get the fucking withdrawal symptoms which suck ass.

I thought to myself while now taking a shower, an actual shower with actual warm water and nice water pressure.

Once I got done, I looked in Chad's bathroom draws to see if he had something I could smash up and snort but he didn't.

"Fuck," I slam it then go out to see him placing the food on a plate, "Hope you don't mind I showered," I say clearing my throat but starting to feel antsy.

He shrugs, "It's cool," Getting two beers, he hands me one then opens his own taking a sip.

I grab the fork that was there and start picking at it not really hungry but trying to eat half to be polite at least.

Finishing what I could without feeling queasy, I wipe my mouth then start shaking my leg underneath the table.

"Is it okay if I just slept on the couch and not in the spare room?"

Picking up my plate he nods, "Go ahead, want me to wake you when it's time to go back to the club?"

Shaking my head, I tell him it's okay I'll be up by then, moving over to the sofa, I lay down and bite my nail which he then hands me a pillow and a blanket.

"Really, thank you Chad," I get more comfortable trying to sleep.

Few hours later

The sun was barely out before I snuck out and called Paul to get a few baggies to last me over for a couple of weeks.

When he doesn't pick up, I'm forced to call the regular that Aero punched but he blocked me as the line doesn't even ring.

Hitting the sides of the pay phone, I take a deep breath knowing one other person that would do and get me anything.

Swallowing my pride, I dial Ronan's home phone number as I broke his cellphone.

After a few rings he picks answering with a simple hello not knowing it's me.

"Yeah, it's me, I need powder, I ran out," I say leaning my head against the pay phone glass.

Ronan sighs, "What happened to your dealer?"

About to vomit, I say through clenched teeth, "I just need some now, can you get it or not?"

He tells me to meet him out back as Juniper was upstairs asleep in bed.

"Yeah, sure, got it," Hanging up, I get a ride then wait by the back door kicking the dirt.

Few minutes later, Ronan comes out with what I asked for.

"Got you four," He places them in my hand.

I nod, "Good looking out," Getting ready  to leave he stops me.

"Can you stay? Just for a second? I want to talk to you, catch up really," He looks at me with his blue sky eyes, waiting for me to say something.

Looking down, I shook my head, "Just because I asked for a favor doesn't mean we're on good terms. We will never be able to go back and be how we were. Did you forget I was a minor Baker? An insecure little girl who her parents dumped with a maniac to get her ready for a fucking arranged marriage at 15. 15!"

Touching my arm, I moved back, "Ayla, it wasn't fake. I love you, that's never going to change. Why can't you forgive me? I went about it the wrong way. But my feelings for you? They only gained strength, not weakened."

Holding the baggies up, I say, "Thanks for this but I won't be asking anything else from you , so go back to insane Miss Poppins."

Leaving, I open one sniffing a line on my hand then wiping it as I get back to Chad's to pretend that I haven't woken up yet.
